I'm sorry but we did miss out.We didn't miss out on Cucurella. We were never in for him, for more than £40m
We wanted him, we weren't willing to pay £60m+, so we missed out.

But you still recon that we will aquire a lb?Cancelo requires quality minutes at left-back.
Especially so, when other clubs aren't yet privy to what our intentions would also be towards a Mendy acquittal?
When we agreed the sale of Zin, we essentially told clubs we need another body in that position.
If Zin had been told to wait patiently for his Arsenal deal to be concluded, we may have afforded ourselves some breathing room on both a replacement and price.
Pretty sure we won't be interested in any Chelsea rejectsIf we think Chilwell is an option as Chelsea are stacked is Alonso worth a shout? It would give us experience whilst JWE develops and it would also piss off Barca as well which can't be a bad thing OK he is 31 but would cost little and apparently I only on £100,000 a week. Ready to be shot down as I haven't watched him closely but always seems steady.
We don't need another winger.
Options for RW: Mahrez, Foden, Alvarez, Palmer (Bernardo, even Cancelo)
Options for LW: Foden, Grealish, Alvarez
Alvarez replaces Jesus in that he can play across the front line, and not just at 9 or 10.

Idk that attack doesn't really strike fear.

Nope you do all but wrap up the deal...tell arsenal they can have it towards the end of the window after we conclude our own business first. This isn't so unusual.By then Arsenal will look out for another option seeing City isn't that serious selling him.
Yes. Last season. and in 2020, and in 2018 and in 2016.Idk that attack doesn't really strike fear. Haaland yes but he will eventually get a knock I've watched him at Dortmund, Dortmund fans always held their breath when he went down. Maybe his injuries are behind him and he's fit all season but
if you take Haaland out, you have attack made up of players that haven't ever scored over 10 in goals in a Premier league season compared to Tottenham and the dippers that attack is quite average.
I don't know if Mahrez has I can't remember. Compared to what we had in Sterling and Jesus to come off the bench/start it's quite a downgrade on the wings goal scoring wise.
Get the man in at left back.City briefings were very positive today on Bernie.
Penny for Chilwell's thoughts?
We tried to sign him previously and would not mind us chancing our arm.
I would even try a cheeky bid for Luke Shaw if it was lower than £20m. He is running down his deal.
We managed to get away with that one the first time lolHere’s an odd one but what’s Danilo up to at Juve…
Luckily Yaya left while backI think one player kicking off about cake is enough for any club tbf mate.
I think Pep once said if he could he would play with 11 midfielders. Maybe Phil Foden at left back then.
Would rather Barry ManiloHere’s an odd one but what’s Danilo up to at Juve…
Nobody knows what we offered, I think we can infer we were t prepared to pay what was required, in my view quite rightlyno i think Chelsea have been bummed mate! I just think the agent told us possibly £40m would get it done and we tried a couple of cheeky offers below that and then went to the £40m before seemingly chelsea give brighton a beyond dream scenario and came steaming in with their £50m offer which still managed to extract even more from them?
