It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

We have gone for…is not equating to got.
They will shortchange Pep, if that’s the way it goes, because they know he can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
How long will he stay, maybe two years?
Then what? Give all the money to the new guy, when you already had the man to give the funds to?
United fans never saw the drop off once Fergie left. Our net spend is admirable, but we are not aiming to be Brighton.

Behind the scenes the rags were an absolute mess we are not! Also winning 5/6 premiers a treble is not normal, they will be slight drop of when pep leaves but when you have a system of play a modal of play we will pick a manager who fits that modal play.. Pep likes a small squad to, they next manager might not..

We tried to buy Rice! Balking at 100m+ is not thrifty but good business sense.

Really? Standing on the top of the mountain you can stand on the hands of anyone trying getting up. Liverpool and Arsenal have improved. Long time left but as it stands we are weaker, anyone with eyes can see that.
Whilst I think the reason they pulled out of Rice deal is he wanted Arsenal, nevertheless, top players are always in demand and if it is £10m over the odds to trample on the opposition, it’s worth it. We can’t be release clause fc.

Doubt that’s the policy at all, but would it be a bad one. If Pep can win trophies without overspending, save the money for the next manager that may need more help.
Anyway as I said it hasn’t been and won’t be how we operate, we do spend money a lot of it,but only on the right players,we won’t and shouldn’t spend big unless confident the player improves us.
We obviously though Bellingham or Rice would, if the alternative isn’t there or available or playing in a position we need ,then keep the money until the player is available we think it’s worth spending big on.
That’s whats made us the best run and successful club in Europe, and will continue to.

Sliding doors and all. If Pep had a left back and a striker, could’ve had three champions leagues.

Bellingham chose Madrid, Ruce was attainable for £15 above the first bid, so pocket change. Like you said, if no one else is out there, the £15m looks even smaller.

Treble winning fc sounds better -:)

On paper teams always look good before the season starts. Let’s see how those new players settle in before we surrender. Nunez last season was supposed to be the best signing of the season and that media hype did not materialise.

Weaker than last season? Not so sure about that. Gundo is 33 and not getting and younger. Plus we relied for too much on him towards the run in.

We will have new players before the window closes.

Was he attainable, how do you know he was? Maybe once Arsenal raised their bid and he knew it would be accepted Rice told us if we had a bid accepted as well, thanks very much but he’d choose Arsenal.
As for the 3 champions leagues thats just fantasy, nobody knows, you’re just inventing scenarios so you can complain about stuff.

maybe the reason we didn't improve our rice offer had something to do with philips saying he wouldn't move, we don't know the full story of any transfer
