Kovcic is not Gundo replacement. He is squad player and will cover for Rodri. Phillips is finding his feet and Pep doesn’t trust him yet. Praying he comes good because he is sticking around to prove himself.Both would be fantastic long term signings but both raw and would need time.
We could do with finding a creative version of Kovacic that could fit in quickly, and that is easier said than done.

I agree Pep is the difference maker and we have a better starting XI than anyone. My concern is that the squad is thin, and the club evidently think this as well otherwise they wouldn't have pursued midfielders & wingers. By most accounts, an £80m deal for Paqueta was nearly done before his betting became apparent. City wouldn't spunk that for no reason.
