Laporte is about to sign, and not a prayer Cancelo or Steffen will be with us at the end of the window.
Just means Laporte and Cancelo out I guessA new winger - potentially Jeremy Doku - should arrive at #ManCity before the end of the month.
Even if there is more business to come at #ManCity this summer, not every player to have left the club or be on their way out will be directly replaced by the close of the window.

My point still stands though. Paqueta was supposedly on the verge of signing, Doku is expected, but neither are here. Laporte and Cancelo are, however.

I don’t care what we spend as long as it represents value. If it doesn’t, then our operating model will collapse and we will shit the bed. Look at Leeds (hyperbolic example I know).I don’t care what we spend , but at the same time I don’t assume we are entitled to expect them to spend excessively either.If the club say a player is too much then it’s too much, no debate from me.
We are a well run club because we take care to not throw money at a bump in the road and find a way to hang in there and succeed when the cards don’t flop our way. We plan everything: we can’t control the adverse occurrences along the journey (injuries/ some dick who thinks he can scam the bookies) but we will not panic because panic is the enemy the planner.
I’m still comfortable that the very clever guys working for us are doing OK. 1 trophy so far this season, bring on the rest of the campaign..
