I can hear the catcalls now, but I'd be absolutely fine if we offered to pay 70% of Cucurella's wages for a season. As crap as he's been, he's got good legs and some versatility, rest Rodri and play him and Kova in front of defence.
Perrone is someone who needs a good loan and then I think can br good for us in a few years playing a similar box to box role that Kova does.
Wirtz is like the next KdB, and while we cant get him now, like Perrone, in a few years we should be after him.
But right now?
If the club is truly looking for a creative centre attacking midfielder then Rayan Cherki is so obvious to me.
He isnt like Wirtz/KdB but closer in style to Foden and can rotate with him and Alvarez in the middle.
Lyon are also managed quite poorly and his price should be very reasonable.
Wirtz is like the next KdB, and while we cant get him now, like Perrone, in a few years we should be after him.
