No. not in anyway, maybe unless there is serious evidence this may be sorted quickly. He certainly didnt look stressed yesterday did he?

The Toney situation was very different, he had 100s of bets to his name.
The bookmaker must have some pretty serious evidence to bring it to the attention of the PL.Whatever the outcome (and I have already pointed out my thoughts on evidence needing to be serious in order to convict him), I just don't see how this can get sorted quickly.
lol he didnt seem overly fussed about it yest when he absolutely sought out a yellow cardThe bookmaker must have some pretty serious evidence to bring it to the attention of the PL.
If there is any truth to it, he is in serious trouble, it's the equivalent of match fixing.
Even if he were to get away with it, it puts serious question marks against his character and the people around him, and why I can't see us going back in for him at anytime.
Bellingham wanted Madrid, so that was a situation out of our control.I certainly wouldn’t use words like disaster but it’s been a strange window…. Before it opened many of us had hopes of landing Bellingham but fears of losing Bernardo. Gundo leaving was a possibility but I hoped he’d stay for two more years. Personally, I thought Mahrez time was done at the club and wasn’t surprised he left.
We‘ve had the Rice debacle that’s beyond comprehension - he could have done a job for us, but the price looked crazy (but maybe less so a month later). No one including City could have anticipated Chelsea’s continued level of spending - I honestly think they will have problems later with this scattergun approach. The Saudi Arabian spending has allowed loads of ‘last contract‘ players to leave the PL - but, that’s distorted’ the market even further.
City‘s dealings have been impacted by three major factors - I’d speculate.
1) we have missed out on our major target - Bellingham and then walked away from the Plan B Rice. We then clearly decided to be patient and wait and see what emerged…. What did eventually emerge was a shitshow orchestrated by Chelsea With bang average players moving for world class fees.
2) we had a few players contemplating their futures such as Gundo, Bernardo, and Laporte and that’s clearly compl things and made identifyi targets more difficult. Add to that the Mahrez departure, the ongoing Phillips debacle, KDB getting a long term injury and an exceptional group of youngsters, Bob, McAtee and Palmer et al who we wanted to assess in preseason.
3) we are obviously conscious of how we deal with other clubs and how we are perceived. If you contrast the meticulous and steadfast way Txiki dealt with Leipzig and compare that with the ‘gun slinger’ approach deployed by Chelsea it’s obvious we are not going to do deals quickly. There’s nothing wrong with this approach because it serves us well but, from June to August the transfer market has become unrecognisable - who in June would have thought Lavia was worth £58m !
The next two weeks are important- we looked good but tired on Saturday. Rodri cannot continue at the level he is at - we will wreck his career if we don’t get him some backup. We are short of numbers but I’m sure the club will work on that this week but its strange to see City in this predicament - we are normally so strategic and methodical but, we have been caught out by a few developments often beyond our control but we definitely always neeDee a backup to Rodri - did we think it was Phillips? Maybe it is but it really doesn’t look like Pep has been convinced in preseason.
The Rodders situation is the one that worries me most. He's the one player in our squad who is irreplaceable. An injury to him and the season derails. It's incomprehensible that we're yet to bring in adequate cover for him. I think Stones would be great in a lone DM role but his body just isn't dependable. Either way the club need to stop pussy-footing and bring in a midfielder within the next ten days.I certainly wouldn’t use words like disaster but it’s been a strange window….
