IMO the problem is not Phillips per say.If there are no realistic replacements available then there is little choice.
I think the solution to "the Rodri problem" will be a combination of a lot of players (Phillips, Kovacic, Ake, Stones, Gvardiol, Gomes, Lewis and anyone else who may come in). It won't be 1 player as a perfect Rodri alternative because there are precious few players of his ability in the world.
Better off moving Phillips on then and buy a replacement next summer (or start using Phillips more along with the alternatives in the squad).IMO the problem is not Phillips per say.
