It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

There will be no player like Kevin De Bruyne ever again no matter how much our club is trying to find his replacement, if some people think an once in decade talent like that can be replaced easily then they will be in big surprise.

There will be no guarantee the next player even the touted next successor of KDB is going to produce the result just like him immediately in first season.
I agree, I'm hoping the next best player for us is just as effective though. I'd actually like to see a high scoring winger/inside forward sign for us. In the mold of a salah, son, mane. Maybe wirtz could be that or maybe Julian alvarez is already that.

We need to have a serious discussion sooner rather than later about bringing a successor in for Kev.

Not necessarily someone who has to hit the ground running, but certainly someone who can come in and learn for a year or two.

Since he has been out we have seen how crucial he is to this team and how much less dangerous we look when he is out.

Personally, I'd chuck 100M at Barca next summer for Pedri when they inevitably can't pay up for Cancelo.
In this market, they would laugh at anything below 200m, and rightly so. Besides, the likes of Pedri or Gavi will stay put forever. They are never leaving Barca, not a chance. Nevertheless, I fully agree that we need a KDB successor ASAP, to ease him in.

Agree, hard to seem them moving before later stages in their careers, similar to Xavi and Iniesta.

Rumours us and the rags are keeping tabs on Branthwaite at Everton. Seems a standout for them tbh, not sure where he fits in unless Pep makes a DM out of one of the CBs or him.

Paqueta was dropped from the international squads for the Brazil games against Bolivia and Peru in September, so it will be interesting to see if Diniz recalls him for the coming games against Venezuela and Uruguay later this month. Would be a tad odd if he was prevented from playing international football when he has continued to play domestic and European club football.
