It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Perrone turns 21 on 7th Jan but is under contract with us until June 2028. If he continues to improve, we can bring him back in the summer, but given that he’s only played the full 90 minutes in the last couple of games, he might need another season in Spain building up his stamina. You can have all the technique in the world, but to play in the midfield in England, you need to develop physically and have plenty lung power. If he still isn’t ready this summer, then we can probably loan him to Girona, who, hopefully, will be playing European football, too.

Yep, no chance we bring him back in January (it sends the wrong message to other clubs for starters), let him develop for the rest of the season and see if he can hold down his starting position.

Agreed. Douglas Luiz had two seasons at Girona before making the move to England and even then it took him half a season to become established. It’s even harder to make an impact with us. No point picking fruit from the tree before it‘s ripe.

Because of his age we could easily give him another year out on loan to positive effect, I agree...

The hate and disrepect our players and club get, is just ridiculous. Jude has been good for Madrid but before September, what has he done to earn his spot above the best midfielders in the world, the treble winners, the super cup winners, the CHAMPIONS of the WORLD. The Madrid PR Machine is something else. The DELUSION is alive!

4 out of the 5 are/ were our players.
Bellingham is a superb player. The fact that 4 of the 5 were playing with the same club is probably one of the reasons why we won so many honours.
If we had only one of Rodri, Bernardo , Gundo or DeBruyne, I doubt we'd have won so many trophies.
I can't understand how you think getting 4 out of the top 5 is "hate and disrespect"

Because, none out of the 4 were number-1. What is so wrong about a CITY player being number-1?

In fairness Rodri won several individual awards, including the champions league and the the recent club world cup.
I'm not sure what the criteria were but 80% of the top players isn't too bad.

As Meatloaf famously sang " Four out of Five ain't bad"

4 out of 5 is brilliant. The point I am making is that, this paints the NARRATIVE that no matter how many trophies you win at CITY or you complete football as a CITY player, you will never ever be good enough to be the best in the world. You will never be number-1. To be the best come to REAL MADRID.
Now that Jude is occupying the number 1 spot, this serves as preparation to us and a prelude to him being given the upcoming Ballon d'or.

If our midfielders don’t get enough credit, that ranking is no evidence. City has the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ranked midfielders only behind our primary transfer target last summer, who has been carrying Real Madrid.

Other teams can have great players too.
