It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Got to agree with you mate . Girona are looking head and shoulders over anything if the city groups and they have some cracking signings .
Ignore the facts of course that Melbourne City won their league 3 times in a row, Troyes got promoted to Ligue 1 and Mumbai City are one of the most successful clubs in ISL since we took them over.

Perhaps.

But all would probably love the chance to play for City again, Savio and Couto are on record saying its their goal to play for us.

And they would play alot.

Aleix Garcia is a proper Rodri rotation option.

Yan Couto is a more offensive RB rotation for Walker as Lewis seems to be more like a midfielder nowadays.

Savio would truly free up Foden to play in the middle, and would help the burden when Bernie leaves us.

They are literally perfect for us.
If Girona carry on as they are, us kneecapping them by taking 3 of their best players is a horrible look never mind the fact they would at best get 10mins in the Carabao if they joined.

Philips will go but expect be right at the end of the window! City want a loan and an obligation to purchase him, we want 50m I'd expect us to drop that by 10/15m if we going to let him go this window

I assume the poster meant the absolute level that Girona are at, rather than success in leagues at a relatively lower standard.

If Girona won La Liga three times in a row, then they would have numerous individual players worth more than Melbourne City.

It lines up.

The club are not in a rush to sell him and are willing to wait until the summer to offload him.

The feeling is Newcastle is the most likely destination if he leaves in January as they are the most likely to pay a fee.

Juventus is a no go.
Apparently if Philips came without a fee, Newcastle would be in for him balls deep, but they've got FFP issues looming, & word from Magpie fans is they expect either Guimarães or Isak to be sold in the summer for big money so they can invest in the squad, & avoid FFP grief.

Newcastle can afford the £5m loan fee, but have baulked at the obligation to buy this summer for £40m. Apparently Howe is waiting a couple of weeks to see if his injury list eases. If it doesn't, Magpie fans reckon he'll be in for Philips.

However Philips is supposed to favour Newcastle, but wants assurances about his playing time. Few top clubs will realistically offer such guarantees.

There's also the uncertainty over Howe's future, with the Saudi's apparently sounding out Moureen as his successor. Where's the vomiting emoji when you need one!

If PIF are considering Howe's future, will they want to buy players Moureen doesn't want? ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯

Eric Dier apparently agreed terms with Bayern, subject to Spurs securing a replacement. Not sure if Tuchel is planning to play him at CB or in midfield, but probably rules them out of any interest in Phillips, as was rumoured a while back

PSG apparently going in for Guimarães who's clause is payable in 3 installments, Phillips + cash to give them a body in midfield and help them out with FFP anyone?
