It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Palmer was unknown really to other clubs. McAtee has had a season in the league that people can watch and analyse.

Plus, Chelsea are unlikely to be able to spend, so it’ll be clubs with smaller budgets willing to take a chance on him.
Palmer wasn’t unknown at all. He’s been one of the top young players in England for years now. Regularly in the England youth squads as well. He was also one of the highest rated youngsters at city as well

I’m hoping Mcatee gets a chance and saves us spending another 60m on someone

Would surely offer as much as Nunes

I dont see the pathway for McAtee.

Nunes barely features for us because Pep trusts others and he will clearly be one to integrate more next season, clearly talented.

We also have Oscar Bobb who is the better talent imo, and likely why Pep was okay selling Palmer to begin with.

Then we have the rising star from Argentina in Claudio Echeverri who is looking like one of the worlds top prospects.

Even with Bernie potentially leaving, and KdB getting old, those 3 are all we really need for the attacking line.

If another attacking player does join the main squad it has to be a mega talent like Wirtz to replace Bernie or KdB, not a player who might be great like McAtee, we already have a few of those.

On a different point to McAtee.

I really want Pacqueta to come in to have more options in the midfield 2.

Currently its just Rodri and Kovacic.

Stones is still a CB who pushes into that role, not a true box to box midfielder.

And Nunes is probably more of an attacker.

Phillips clearly has no future here.

Since Pep likes Rodri having a partner, this needs depth next season, I dont see Rico Lewis as that option, he might be.

Instead Id like to see Lewis be given the chances Walker has when he plays as a wide attacking right back, thats where Lewis looks best.

Then buy a wide attacking left back while we are at it as well for more flexibility in the back line.

With McAtee I think we will see a sale with buy back/sell on/first refusal which we’ve done with a few prospects now. Would say Leicester but they not have ffp issues.

Maybe Brighton. They were keen more than once.
