I’d still love Leroy back here to be honest. Doku to the right side and Neto although fantastic on his day seems injury prone already at 23? Neves would be a very nice long term signing as well but surely one of Kovacic or Nunes goes? Hope Paqueta gets sorted as well. Anyone think if we got Neves we would still do Kimmich?

Don’t think there’s any chance Sane comes back, not sure why people are so keen he’s done okay but nothing spectacular, but that’s a different argument. Just don’t think we have any interest.

Kimmich can play right back, if you think about it he's perfect for that position with the way we play. We'd lose Walkers pace . But gain Kimmich intelligence and positioning, he could do the Stones role perfectly. Germany vs France last night. He was quality in that right back position.

He doesn’t want to play full back though. Could Pep persuade him as an inverted fullback, possibly. Though think we are better using Stones as the extra midfielder.
I’d only expect us to go for Kimmich if Kovacic did go.

I don't think he wants to play that role and one cannot blame him. His lack of pace is all too often exposed (see last night) and he looks far more composed in midfield where his passing can influence play. Much like Walker, I think the brouhaha over his possible departure will ultimately see him sign an improved contract and that Bayern next year will have Kimmich, Musiala, Wirtz, and Kane.

Palmer was less known but hardly unknown. As well as featuring for us last season and starting this season well, he’d also already played 15 times for England U21 and scored 5 goals. We don’t need to sell McAtee this summer, so I’d much rather keep him around and see if we can develop him.

Should never have sold Palmer but oh well.....it’s done, possibly our biggest transfer mistake, Bony aside
