Mention Kalvin!
So its PSG sniffing around Alvarez huh? slim chance but a chance then.
i think the only transfer that happened was Claudio Gomes, for free.Have our owners and PSG's owners actually dealt with one another on a transfer? I don't think so. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, a bit of an anomaly.
How long is a rope? And, may I ask, how much will this replacement for Alvarez cost us?
few about with decent releases clauses tbf, but doubt he goes without a major fallout being revealed. And, may I ask, how much will this replacement for Alvarez cost us?
You claim Alvarez is in top 25 of strikers; on Transfermarkt he is listed as no. 6. You are doing him an injustice there. This is the Gabriel Jesus argument all over again. If Haaland left, we'd simply try to find the next top striker on the rise or a good goal scorer as a stop gap in the interim
Keeping Alvarez on the off chance that Haaland leaves is a weak argument.
I like Alvarez. But he has the profile of the player 'most likely' to be sold Simply put, he is a top class player on a team where he has no roles in which he is great. And their are great players already in the roles he is very good at.
He is a top 25 striker: But we have a top 3 striker ahead of him.
He is a top 50ish attacking Mid. But we have a top 10 attacking mid who is rounding into his peak. Not to mention a top 2 legend just off is peak.
He is just an odd man out. In my opinion. If we lose Haaland. The goal would be to get another top 10 striker as his replacement. Certainly ,relying on a hybrid Forward/AM to lead our line wouldn't be the way to go.
In my humble opinion of course.
So many City fans underrate Julian. He is no Haaland, but no other player is, and he is better than Haaland at some aspects of the game. He walks into almost any team in the world. You claim Alvarez is in top 25 of strikers; on Transfermarkt he is listed as no. 6. You are doing him an injustice there.
Do you remember when Pep played with a false 9? Just a different type of forward to Haaland and doesn’t harm the team.
Everyone is on holiday. Taking a break. Meetings in the week after they come back. Then go ahead with the strategy.Would be nice that we could see some links about something we could sign, not the lawsuit, usual 115 nonsense, every player are to leave. Kinda deflating few days, ngl
