It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I always thought summer 2025 was preferable in terms of getting top talent to replace the likes of KDB, Bernardo etc.

The market is awful this summer. Lots of new managers going into top clubs with new ideas will likely mean star players stay to give the manager a chance (Kompany at Bayern)

Two international tournaments isn’t ideal for conducting major business either as players will be focused on tournaments until mid July.

Summer 2025 is when top talent could be unsettled - Musiala, Wirtz, Rodrygo to name a few. Contracts will have run down by a further year. Targets could be more attainable

I reckon it’ll be release clause type deals for us this summer. In terms of our outgoings, I think there is a real chance we lose KDB and Alvarez. I also think Eddie and Bernardo stay
100%. I would try to keep as many as we can this summer, sign a couple that are easy to do (release clauses) in Bruno and maybe Olmo (we need them for different reasons), and let's see what happens with Pep. Go big in 2025, like you said.

Yep we could be heading into summer 2025 with a pep extension. Fingers crossed

I think city are in a really difficult position where we are about to get really good offers for some of our best players but the players we want to bring in aren’t available. We risk buying players this summer but at the same time clogging up the squad and not being able to move for the top tier talent next summer

Unless City surprise us this summer which I’m not discounting if we sell KDB and Alvarez

It seems like he's very happy at Newcastle, Although if City and Newcastle agree a fee then he will make the the move.

I think he had alot of respect for Newcastle and wouldn't force a move away, Just have to see how this plays out.

Seen tolmie reckons he still wants to move to us so if we agree a deal then hopefully he comes. I sense it’s going to be a shit summer all round for transfers this season

I think the same, I really can't see many clubs doing much business, Especially if you look at the January transfer market, It must have been the most quiet window in a long long time.

Fine with Alvarez going personally. Just not to a domestic rival. Especially not Chelsea again after Palmer.

Now that you mention Palmer, It's actually going to be really interesting to see how his second season plays out also under new management.

As we've seen so many times before in this league, The pundits and media are quick enough to shoot you down when things aren't going well, The lad could have a couple of bad months and they'll be on his back.
