It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Much as I'd like a shiny new toy, the current leadership has shown that patience pays off, whereas others have shown that impulse purchases under pressure are often a mistake.

But with us going for pace on the wings again now, we need to keep a striker in the box if Erling is or isnt there?

Or just revert to a front 3 from Grealish, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Bernardo & Foden which won the league with 90 odd points.

Who would you have liked to have seen come in, genuine question?
That’s what I wonder, who is this forward that doesn’t really want to play accept in emergency or relief for Haaland. If someone is coming to be happy to be Haaland’s fluffer, do we really want him?

I think we all like new signings, and those bemoaning no signings, it could be much worse, we could be flooding the streets to welcome Scott McTominay….

If Bobb is back for January I would rather he got any minutes than someone we buy as contingency in fairness he deserves the opportunity & his injury was from timing was really unlucky. Better the injury does not stunt his development for a full season hopefully he can get good minutes from January onwards. We just need to ensure Haaland stays fit until Oscar is back which means using him sensibly & getting him off in games already won

We've won league's playing the false nine. We've won league's with just one striker. Pep knows how to shuffle the pack.

Surely you should know that by now?
We won the league with a false 9 because we deliberately went into the season set up to play that way. We had an abundance of midfielders who could rotate and contribute as the false 9 or inbbehind and we had goalscoring wingers.

We're going in to this season having bought wingers to provide for a central striker, that's our preferred style this season. None of our wingers have ever scored as many as a sterling or mahrez were getting. Were not set to play a false 9. We can cope doing it for the odd game but if haaland ends up playing less than 50 games this season, it's unlikely we will be able to cope, just not enough goals in the team without Haaland or a striker.
