Major issue being we need that many players we are going to have to spend 30/40m on players. It’s not the sales which are an issue it’s the purchases just haven’t been good enough. Complete waste of time trying to build a title winning team round £50mill so called bargains. As more of the previous quality gets older it becomes more obvious that the so called bargains aren’t really all that. We now have predominantly average players and some world class players the wrong side of 30. The longer the poor buys continue the worse and more costly it will become. The main problem we have is sentiment
Only shows up against bottom half then?He single handedly won the game.
Yeah but he was trying to leave in the summer but only Saints bid for himDidn't the scousers get Gakpo in January. There are good players out there
Lots of players about with 6 months left, moves that haven't worked, release clauses etc, just who fits and who they can convince from here.Didn't the scousers get Gakpo in January. There are good players out there
Chelsea form yes City form no. Hindsight is wonderful at times. No it would have taken a more forward-looking manager than Jose Mourinho. Especially De Bruyne you had to be blind to see. Went straight off Chelsea's bench and was the best player in germany.
What is the excuse for Palmer then? One of the best players in the league not two years, not one year but a month after he left us? Better players in front of him? We sold Mahrez and signed a project player from Rennes. Gundogan went on a free. As we know De Bruyne got injuried. Even if you say we couldn't plan for De Bruyne (which we should have, he is aging and has been injury-prone most of his career) there is no way you can look at how our squad has turned out and say that selling one of the best players in the league isn't a mistake.
The only question you need to ask yourself is would he start for us now?
He single handedly won the game.
We can smooth this one over as much as we want but massive massive fuck upChelsea form yes City form no. Hindsight is wonderful at times.
So you think Cole Palmer were given enough minutes to build any sort of form at City?(again lets ignore his actual City form was two goals in two finals in the two games he got before he left)Chelsea form yes City form no. Hindsight is wonderful at times.
