Know fuck all about the two young defenders but Marmoush is a gem. Ederson is an iffy one. Not sure about him, he doesn’t seem good enough on the ball.

At some point, his areas of strength (energy, defensive ability, stamina etc.) will override the passing element. IMO anyway.

Can't wait for the last week of January when we hear that we valued Ederson and Marmoush at £50m, but their clubs wouldn't come down from their £75m valuation so we walked away.

Hopefully we're just being coy in our briefing to make it look like we're not desperate (even though the world knows we are). Zero chance we get either of those players for £50 million.

No point getting excited about anything reported by the papers. I be honest until there signed on and in the squad all we can do is wait. How much do we want these guys? Also in the long term and our summer targets how will it hamper getting the bigger targets in. We need a new creative midfielder by the summer window or being greedy 2 as KDB will be either gone or not to his higher powers.

That’s my main concern….difficult to know how advanced the discussions are and if they’re only in the early stages then we have a long month of speculation

It would be very interesting - these negotiations.
Marmoush and Ederson - both key clogs to teams going very well and it would be immense if we are again ruthless and pull it off.

Because these aren’t 50 million signings btw. With the market and January tax this would be around 70 80 million range of signing in the end if we complete them.

150 mil in January. The optimistic in me says a late PL and CL title charge.

Italian side has lots of report about rags putting bid for Ederson in the past 2 weeks and were rejected.

So I guess if we want him we have to be somewhere near a bid (or a bid is already made).

Getting Marmoush would be a bigger hurdle than getting Ederson. Atalanta can figure out a solution for their midfield without him.

Frankfurt would need to find a replacement that is fitting for them. Maybe they’ll take Kolo Muani back who knows
