If Cancelo does end up staying he’d be far better on the left than as a Mahrez replacement.

He is literally the antithesis of what Grealish offers on that side...
Risky football, little defensive awareness, no control

Whatever happened behind the scenes aside, what he was mostly doing (or rather, not doing) on the pitch in the first half of last season, was borderline criminal. Only highlight is THAT Haaland assist.

Incredible footballer 'on his day' (lump him up with Pogba, Ozil etc.), but, unfortunately or fortunately, this side and current set-up has evolved past the need for him
