Honestly, 27m or 35m, who cares really. Makes little to no difference in the grand scheme of things. We are not a selling club, the decision if a player stays or goes should be made before we know what offers that will arrive. If the decision is made that the player is not a part of our plans, just sell to the highest bidder (as long as its not a rival), whatever that bid is. Apparently no one is offering more than 27m with only 2 weeks left of the transfer window so I have no issue with us accepting it. Thats still significantly higher than his current book value with us. No point in keeping guys around just because we want to get paid more than what anyone is willing to offer.

Get what we can for Laporte and use the money to bolster the midfield now. Get Paqueta, Doku, and maybe even someone else this summer (preferably Wirz). It might sound an overload, but the market is only going to be even more competitive next season.
