It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

That approach would destroy the CFG concept - City cannot walk into Girona and take all their better players - Girona have to be left alone and allowed to succeed - there are plenty of other players out there for City to sign. There are plenty of benefits to multi club ownership but the club at its heart (City) - pillaging the others will destroy it - what would be the point of joining the CFG?
Two of the players mentioned are only on loan to Girona.

Couto is our player and Savio is on loan from Troyes, so they'll be going back to their clubs after the season anyway.

I would like to see Couto given a chance with us pre-season and for us to buy Savio before someone else does, as the lad looks a good player.

To be fair, I've only seen a little bit of Couto & I don't get why Gomez isn't used more, as in recent times he's not let himself or City down.

Gomez has played right & left wing, & in Central midfield throughout his short career, & it was Vinny who converted him to a LB when at Anderlecht.

Sergio also did well at the U21 Euros & made the team of the tournament. However, that was whilst playing midfield.

It'll be interesting to see what plans Pep has for Sergio in the short-term, as rumours are flying around about a loan or permanent move.

I'll try & get in more Spanish football & have a closer look at Couto. I'll happily cede to your opinion of the player in the meantime.
Completely agree with your take on Gomez. A completely different player when playing either in the midfield or further up the pitch. I can't say he hasn't held his end up when given those opportunities.
He got that game against Red Star in the CL, but it was at left back which just isn't his strong suit. I'm not sure what the club have planned for him but I like him as a squad guy providing some depth behind Grealish and Doku...

Top tier royalty, come on mate. Barca and Madrid are finished, too busy arguing with each other over the super league.
I dont think Couto, Aleix or any of the Girona players barely get on our bench, never mind play.
Whether we like it or not they are still up there and look at Bellingham he still went there .

Agreed. He's a good player, but has better players ahead of him in his best positions. I still think he'd be a good squad player, but whether that's good enough for Gomez, or if City view him as taking up a squad place that could be better filled, remains to be seen.

Several strong reports are saying City maintain a keen interest in Paqueta. Even Hammers fans sound kind of resigned to losing him to City, irrespective of his betting charges.

He played No 10 or No 8 for Milan & Lyon. He plays as a left winger for Brazil, & Moyes plays him as a No 6 in a double pivot as well as other midfield positions. That's the kind of versatility Pep loves.

Hammers fans say he's been far & away their stand out player this season, so a perfect move for me would be Philips plus £40m to WHU & Paqueta to City.

He's not the No 6 I envisaged, but he'd suit us more than a Philips who can't get a game for Iove nor money.

I’d LOVE paqueta mate, was gutted when it fell apart in the summer.
