Yea but it (obviously) affects how much we can spend elsewhere.

This isn't a case of spending a bit extra to make sure we get a player in, its 34 million quid. That could be another Ederson. We dont have infite money to spend, nobody does. Basic stuff surely

True, obviously depends on our budget and how many players we want. That’s what I meant by if we can afford. For me the price is about affordability,which only the club knows and can decide. If they are happy to spend whatever so am I. I have complete trust in those in charge of our finances.

Watching Chelsea today what’s annoying more than the recent shite signings we’ve made is the quality of some of the players we’ve let go. We have folk on here say it’s impossible to sign players from club x as they won’t leave or won’t be allowed to leave. If we aspire to be one of the world’s biggest clubs why are we letting good young players leave to strengthen our rivals? Lavia and Palmer instantly make us better and we had both.
