Nobody will think that. The only reason they will agree to sell is they've gone 800 mil over on their stadium.

Those 2 would be nice but I assume we'd only be after 1 of the 2 unless Otamendi is going.

Alderweireld would make it a long Summer though with trying to prise Walker and him away from Levy.

It is disappointing with Bonnuci and Laporte are not on the CB target list, but with Vinny finishing the season strongly there isn't any urgency in bringing in another expensive defender, imho.

Levy prefers bringing a replacement in before selling - that way the club he's buying from don't know that he has the money from the sale in his pocket. Bale is the perfect example of this, despite the fee being agreed etc his transfer to Madrid wasn't announced until Spurs had finished their transfer dealings for the summer.
Didn't really work that time as everyone knew he was off to Madrid and Levy ended up overpaying for quite a few players but it won't stop him doing the same again with Walker.

Do you not think if Levy is eyeing up a right back from another club, that club will realise they already have two right backs and one must be leaving for good money if they're looking for a replacement? All clubs have lots of money now, Bournemouth with their tiny ground holding little more than 10,000 have just paid £10 million for a keeper (a great deal btw) this whole "they've just received a large amount for x player so lets ask for more" view we all think happens more than likely doesn't. There's people planning summer activity all year round, if people like us get leaks of potential ins and outs you can guarantee the people who's job it is to oversee transfers knows the potential ins and outs of every other team in the league before it's happened and can value their players accordingly.
