It's Quiet - a new dawn

If the other option was to let him go for free and let him sabotage next season I think it makes a lot of sense to sell to a rival. This is Alexis Sanchez we are talking about. You have to factor that in. Can you imagine what he would do to the dressing room next season if they forced him to stay.

I would be delighted if we were to sign him. I just don't seem to share the same levels of confidence that he will be a city player as seemingly most other blues do.

Hmm Walther Junghans might actually know something. He is part of the old Bayern boys network. Would interest me what @Maldeika thinks.

That goes far back into my youth when he was goalkeeper at Bayern...

I cannot tell much about his abilities as a coach. Bayern is not really profilic in getting good goalkeepers out of their youth players. Früchtl is a good one - but he is in every training with Neuer, Starke and Tapalovic and I do not think he gets extra goalkeeper training with his youth team. The best goalkeeper coaches in Germany's youth Schalke seems to have with Stuttgart following close.

Starke - our third goalkeeper will be goalkeeper coach in the new NLZ (youth performance center) Bayern opens starting August. He will still be part of the Asia tour of the professionals as Neuer, Früchtl and Ulreich are still injured but then will start his new job. I can imagine that we try to get modern goalkeepers. Pep has left Gerland (Bayern's assistant coach who takes up the job as youth leader now - he is the guy who brought up Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Müller, Hamann, Hummels etc.) a big book with notices about training forms etc. and a youth concept - our U17 and U19 who play for the German championship right now (or were second) play like a Guardiola team...

Somehow a lot of our backroom staff leaves in recent times. Liverpool got some of it, the youth coach department was totally revamped, the rehab leader leaves to Gladbach, some phyios left... - do not know what I should be thinking about that.

I am not up to date on the squad rules- why would a HG player have to be sold, specifically? I understand the cap on foreign players, but is there one on HG as well?
4, if we have a full quota in the non home grown, any more than 4 comes off the 17 non homegrown spots. So we could have say 5 homegrown and 16 non homegrown. Club trained can be used to take the squad up to 25.

Open feud. Who wants to talk about reality

You are on two threads saying he a wrong un.
Do you want him at City?

Me personally I not arsed. He comes he comes. If not so what. Plenty other good players about. I trust Pep knows what he is doing.

Of course I want him at City. He is one of the best attackers in the Prem.

So you could have more than 4 HG, but the idea is in general there are not 5+ HG players that are good enough to sacrifice the foreign players? You want to maintain as many available spots for foreign players as possible. Makes sense.

That's also just for CL that it's 17 + 4 + 4 (free + HG + club trained). The PL is less strict with just 17 + 8 (free + HG). Both allow unlimited U21 players but the CL stipulates that they must have been registered with the club for at least 2 years (if not they have to be included in the 25 man A list squad).

Essentially we could hypothetically have all 5 of Walker, Bertrand, Stones, Delph and Sterling registered for the PL but one of those (or a foreign player that would normally take a free spot) would have to drop out for the CL.
