Are we planning for the worst?

The CAS will convene on Monday to hear Velez Sarsfield's case against Manchester City regarding the signing of Benjamin Garré. [Telegraph]

If Velez win their case, City could be banned from registering players for two transfer windows. [Telegraph]

If and could, don't you just love it

FIFA backed us in this case, nothing to happen here unless they want to turn the whole foorballmtransfer world upside down and even then nothing will happen

Important to note that Fifa are on City's side in this, although the CAS can still rule against Fifa if they believe Fifa's interpretation of the rules aren't correct.

We signed Argentinian, Benjamin Garre when he was 16 from the Argentine side Velez, usually that would not be allowed but in this case Garre has Italian family and an Italian passport which means he should be eligible to sign for us at 16.

City also believe they will win this case.

Thanks, thought that might be the case but wasn't sure.
