Why have they let us talk to their player, and agree personal terms?

we won't pay him remotely close to Ronaldo's wages. Not even Bale's (Bale is on 350k pw).

It doesnt work like that these days. We'll have spoken with his agent, who will have told us what Mbappe would accept to move.

If it sounded workable, we'd then approach Monaco to begin a transfer negotiation.

Will help we've already struck two deals with them this summer so we'll have a good idea how they work.
 
So last week we had Monaco threatening to report clubs for tapping up, but we have agreed terms with the player without an agreement with the club mmmmm
