It's Quiet - a new dawn

Why would you rely on so called experience of a one footed nose bleed merchant that is useless pass the half way line in both directions, put in one of the kids and put to bed Clichy's sabotage.
Must class as home grown, nothing else makes sense.

I'm assuming Clichy would be kept as a back up because he qualifies as home grown?

Dont think Txiki has any player on his mind in particular to be watching, but he is there watching a number of our targets and maybe identifying new ones.

Is fabihno a possibility......its gone very quiet on that one (unless Ive missed something)

SO from what i can gather the targets are now

Pickford (Ederson too expensive?)
Walker (What happened to Heinrichs?)
Mendy (recent links)
Mbappe (only if sergio leaves)
Sanchez - Bayern could be in for him - though could be absolute rubbish
Rose

Looks like a few players may have fallen by the wayside since the thread started (but a long way to go and some might come back in)
Isco
Fabihno
Ederson
Heinrichs

Not sure whats happening with the centre halves position?

It was originally Bonnuci that may have been a target but we may now have sights on VVD

Because it didnt work this season and the best solution has been Navas at right back, why repeat the gamble it when there is no need to. Just keep Navas as a safety net.

The gamble last year was hoping an old player still has enough to see out one more season. We based that on what Sagna and Zabs did the season before and on a career at right back..

This year the gamble is hoping an old player still has enough to see out on more season. We are basing that on what Navas has done in six games.

It is THIS year that we are repeating the gamble....choosing a kid from the Academy to be the back up is a completely different gamble.

So based on the latest info today it looks like:

Pickford
Walker
Alderweild
Mendy
Sanchez

Is that it? Surely a CM will be in there?

One footed? You can say a lot about Clichy but a naturally right footed player that has played LB his entire career is certainly not one footed.
