It's Quiet - a new dawn

I have. I called you naive for believing all that you read and our so called expert pundits who stab us in the back. You on the other hand are basing your argument on your opinion whilst trying to use the media as your friend. Keep digging

"Naive for believing all you read and our so called expert pundits"

Go on then, explain how I've naively believed them? All I've done is state what their opinion is, I took great pains to explain their opinion was not necessarily true or fair.

So Sanchez, Mendy, Bertrand and Walker? Still hoping we get a central midfielder and centre back too.

I do wonder if City might leave it late on a central defender and see if Vinny can come through the pre-season games unscathed?

I would love to see if Stones can become the midfield sitter.

The boy sees the passing lanes very quickly and he has impressed me so much when he has taken a chance and advanced up the pitch for both City and England.

There is something about Busquets he reminds me of.

We tend to forget that Vinny joined us as a central midfielder and in the early games was clearly a better option in central defence.

Just heard from my mate who watched the match that Nico took several slices during the match aside from the elbow, as well.

What was he thinking? Are the rumours that he is off true and so he doesn't care?

I watched just the second half, very strange behavior from Otamendi, I know he can be a hot head but to behave like that against a team mate in a friendly that you are already winning 1-0 doesn't make any sense to me, maybe he could be off.

It's been a thought knocking around for a while that he could play that role. I take it you having such thoughts means we're not currently trying to sign any defensive midfielders?

Looks like we won't be going for midfielder this window. What do you think?

Just saw a video of the incident and, while it doesn't look especially malicious, it was definitely reckless (and likely a foul in any competitive match). Why make a challenge like that at the very end of a meaningless friendly against your club teammate? And why continually hack at him before that?

Seems very strange and completely deserving of a speaking to from the club.

Does make me think there is something to the transfer talk.

IMO I just don't think his mobile enough for central midfield sitting or experienced enough to play that role I think we stick with what we have and invest next summer in that rôle.

I don't understand why people would want Otamendi to go easy on Jesus because they're teammates wtf is that all about you'd want him to go easy on Messi because they're NT teammates aswell? They aren't teammates when playing for the NT Otamendi played like Jesus was the opposition as he should and he played a good game the elbow was unlucky shit happends

Did you just read my post from a year ago prior to Stones coming to us?

I demand satisfaction, sir! A duel for honour!

Didn't look too serious to me either but that wasn't the only occasion, Ota also completely missed the ball and kicked the back of his leg some minutes before. Still confused whether Gabby really needed a stretcher there

I always reserve judgement with those types of impacts as a mate of mine actually fractured a vertebrae in his neck on what appeared to be a fairly innocuous coming together during a community league match some years ago. He still has pain and actually stopped playing last year due to it and an unrelated knee injury.

When it comes to the head, neck, and back little impacts can have big consequences.

Good point. Hopefully it won't be serious.
