It's Quiet - a new dawn

I agree with @Maldeika, Bayern have been poor domestically this year. I was at their game against Ingolstadt in February and they looked like a team full of individuals, rather than the well-oiled side under Guardiola. They scored two goals after the 89th minute to win 2-0, but on another day it probably should have been a draw. It wouldn't surprise me if Leipzig won the league next season - they're boss, Ralph Hasenhüttl, is destined for the top.

Interestingly enough about Leipzig, despite finishing 2nd, they might not be able to play in the Champions League. Due to that part ownership rule, only one of them and RB Salzburg are able to compete in the CL. I believe UEFA choose the side who finished higher, and Salzburg have just won the Austrian league.

It would surprise me if Leipzig would win the league next season. The teams will be better equipped against their tactics in the next season and the advantage of this season - just to be present in one competition (they lost their first Cup match) - will be gone. But there is some teams that underperformed this season and probably aren't in Europe next season and they have enough talent like e.g. Gladbach. Even if the first place seems to be predictable - behind that everything is possible.

For me - even if the structures are washed out with Ancelotti it would have worked a lot better with a 4-2-3-1 with hanging striker - it is funny that we won all away matches in which we started like this since November and could convert all 3 other matches in which we could convert to that system in the last 30 minutes of the match - and only won one match with 3 midfielders against Arsenal during them playing with 10 men. Because all the individual quality does not help you if you do not give them the possibility to shine. Lewy only scored from open play in 3 matches without Müller behind him since September (of about 20 matches!) - and that really was against defenses you cannot call a defense... - and Robben always works better in that system. And our defense is actually a lot better in that more offensive system - maybe because we have Thiago in the place were he can shine best as ball winner and pass specialist and do not often play the least defensive and slowest midfielder in the deepest position or waste our most defensive midfielder trying to do two jobs between defensive midfielder and being second man in the box - something for which he always comes to late to be good in one of it.

Without Ribery and Müller - and without switch to the 4-2-3-1 hanging striker system - we hardly would have any goals from open play this season. And others do not really let us counter really often, referees do not give us too many penalties or opponents let us be the set-pieces kings (if their name is not Leipzig, who were really naive)

Moyes thinks City are in the box seat for Pickford.

Everton are penny pinching.

On a separate transfer, there is a big visitor to our game on Tuesday.

Who who who?

Sunderland want our money to rebuild, that's why they want us to buy Pickford.

Everton see a bargain to be had with Sunderland relegated.
