Alex Sandro, we should have just fucking paid the release clause or whatever ffs
The most infuriating part of it was he was available for £18m, an absolute steal.

Did people even refer to the 'Pivot' as a position years ago?
Isco doesn't excite me either :(
Precisely, we've allegedly had the best squad for the past 3 seasons and spent a bloody fortune and won 1 milk cup and possibly an FA cup this season, hardly great is it.
People seem to think spending another 200 million is the key to winning everything next season. United won titles with some bang average players in the squad because they had the right mentality and a strong English core for 2 decades. We have a mentally fragile squad with no leaders- something money can't buy.
Name might have changed but the idea was the same. Taking a clearly attack minded player and switching him to you last midfielder.Did people even refer to the 'Pivot' as a position years ago?
The latter :-) And amongst other forumsRight... here's me thinking you are a football geek with access to FM17
in actual fact you are a football genius who chooses to hide in plain sight, imparting your venerable wisdom in the blue moon transfer forum...
^^ it seems top be the answer fopr everything on here, spend 200m minimum and only buy world class talent. if english players/lower team or league players are mentioned most dont seem to want them. which i find strange, theres some fantastic talents in this league who we could get. rose has been mentioned, one of the best left backs in the league, yet hes shit according to many on here. we need to build a team, yes with high quality, but we are missing the right mentality as you say and we could do with players who want to fight for us and be moulded by pep. those players dont have to cost 50m everytime.
I've heard they are fairly reliable when it comes to Bayern transfer news.Kicker linking us to Kimmich today, dunno how reliable they are.

Let's be honest. We all know pretty much f all when it comes to players potential and best positions.
I'd love to see all of our respective thoughts prior to the signings of Toure, Kompany, Zaba, Barry etc and see how many of us actually called what role they'd play and how effective they'd be for us.
a poor man's Vincent Kompany
He isn`t in the same class as a fully fit Michael Essien though.
Yaya seems to be just another 'pass it sideways and give it back to the geezer yer got it from' mercant. We want and need better than Yaya.
I seem to be in a minority here. I see Yaya Toure as a good defensive midfielder but his distribution is laboured, telegraphed and often inaccurate. He is most definitely not the man to transform our midfield creativity.
I'd be disappointed if he ended up with us.
I would sell him. Not that good and I think we can get better, and probably will, in January.
I really like Zabba, but i'd probably let him go if we could get someone like Maicon or an upcoming world beater.
My god are some people stupid. Kompany was bought as a midfielder and will stay as a fucking midfielder.
Think it was Pep who pulled Kimmich out of the lower league?
I've seen a few times can strike a ball that's for sure and i do know City watched him TuesdayHe's got what it takes, I hear.

You are correct. There's a really good article by Kimmich on the Player's Tribune for anyone who's interested in that sort of thing. No mention of Pep but he does go into his slow start with Stuttgart's academy. Seems a top bloke.

I'd love it if Pep brought us Kimmich like he gave Bayern Thiago but I just don't see it happening.
Edit: not sure if link works, posting from phone
I like how angry people are getting before the transfer window is even open.
It's all good fun isn't it?
