It's Quiet - a new dawn

If this is true then there is no real reason to go after Sanchez.

I believe a lot of people like you are falsely scapegoating Aguero for not finishing chances. Yea he's missed more than normal but he's also the only one finishing at all, outside of Sane ( who is doing quite well after his first few months but is still nowhere near Agueros clinical level).

Replacing Aguero with Jesus next year might lead to a lot goals but it won't be because of Jesus, it will be because of our vastly improved stability at the back giving the front more freedom to expand the space around the box because we have the skill to set up shop further up the field.

There's going to be a rude awakening if Aguero leaves and we have no consistent goal scorer outside of three 21 years olds.

There will always be moments where the perfectly laid out plan doesn't work in which case you need magic. Aguero is magic.

I'm not sure anybody else is. Sanchez sure isn't.

Maybe he should pass more?

It really is starting to baffle me how some people actually would not mind Aguero go. I suppose that is the modern day Manchester City fan as opposed to the Maine Road die hard fan.

Just sit and think about what Aguero has achieved for us and how many goals he scores for us, then think carefully if you want to see him leave the club. Completely and utterly bonkers.

As for Alexis, said it all along get him signed up. Brilliant player.

As soon as we sign Sanchez, Aguero will walk away.

Zidane stopped him training with the senior team when he became manager. But, he's probably developed quite a bit and might even move Casemiro out of the team
Can we get in there and put some good money down. I was doing a review of Theo when I spotted this kid. He is going to be special if nurtured right. And I think Pep is the man to do it.
20 million should get him here.

Ederson
Theo Hernandez
Kolasinac(free)
Laporte
FABINHO
Benjamin Heinrichs
Sanchez
Isco

I think all of them will cost something between 200-230 m. If I have to give up on one of them I will choose Isco. The others solve our problems at the back for a decade(incladuing GK) and Sanchez is a world class. Just imagine him with Aguero, Jesus, Sane and Sterling
Why is Heinrich bolded?

Silva can do anything in my book, but keep him away fro the onion bag, he's shocking in the shooting dept, more like a defender clearing the danger. He should be getting 20 a year.

It is, & always has been, a weakness in the modern City team imo, not just from Silva but also Nasri, Navas etc etc. Now KDB is applying to join the 'Bull's Arse/Banjo Club' just at the time when we need him to be our midfield scorer.

We will have to replace Yaya's key goals if he goes, as expected.

It won't be needed as much if we can get more goals from the wider positions. Having the likes of Milner/Navas/Nasri/Silva playing in those areas was precisely the reason we were so reliant on Yaya chipping in with so many from midfield. The likes of Jesus/Sterling/Sané/Roberts should be hitting double or treble the figures from those areas than their predecessors did.

True, but it also highlights how much has been on Aguero's shoulders in recent times, since we lost Balotelli, Tevez, Dzeko & Beast.

Yes it is, the timing is perfect, the reason the squad needs such an overhaul is because we've dragged our heals in the past and not kept things fresh. There's value in selling Aguero now otherwise he'll just stay and go stale on huge wages and harder to shift ala Yaya. We've had the best out of him so now's the time to cash in on him, we need to move with the style and times.

A front three and the movement of Sane......Aubameyang........Jesus, now that's got the juices flowing!

The grass is not always greener and be careful what you wish for.

Note that Aubameyang is almost exactly one year younger than Aguero

It's not about age, it's about what's the best "fit" for the direction we're going. I would like nothing more for Sergio to be the main man and to fit our system and style but i can't see it happening, Pep wants a lot more from his strikers than just putting the ball in the net, that may sound stupid but he expects them to defend from the front which I'm not sure Sergio can add to his game.

If the media is right and they aren't quite a lot, then Sanchez is a prime target - That means to me that Aguero will leave and we will have Sane, jesus, Sterling and Sanchez to play the front 3. Any of Sanchez / Jesus can probably play number 9/10 if required as well.

This gives us much more flexibility and probably more work rate. No City fan wants Aguero to go but you can probably see peps thinking behind this.

Perhaps the fact that Suarez and Messi couldnt get a sniff should tell you all you need to know about how good his performance last night was.

Sandro had Messi in his pocket yesterday. Bonucci was good, but Sandro made his job a whole lot easier, probably MOTM for me.

Collectively they all played very well. Dani Alves made a mockery of Neymar. Chiellini was everywhere and as you said Sandro clamped down on Messi. Bonucci played a blinder though, cutting out passing lanes everywhere for the entire game.

Yaya's only scored 2 goals outside of penalties this season hasn't he?

Sané, Sterling and KDB should be getting 50 goals between them in all competitions next season. All have far too many chances to not get 15+ in 50 games.
