If this is true then there is no real reason to go after Sanchez.
I believe a lot of people like you are falsely scapegoating Aguero for not finishing chances. Yea he's missed more than normal but he's also the only one finishing at all, outside of Sane ( who is doing quite well after his first few months but is still nowhere near Agueros clinical level).
Replacing Aguero with Jesus next year might lead to a lot goals but it won't be because of Jesus, it will be because of our vastly improved stability at the back giving the front more freedom to expand the space around the box because we have the skill to set up shop further up the field.
There's going to be a rude awakening if Aguero leaves and we have no consistent goal scorer outside of three 21 years olds.
There will always be moments where the perfectly laid out plan doesn't work in which case you need magic. Aguero is magic.
I'm not sure anybody else is. Sanchez sure isn't.
Maybe he should pass more?
