LB is going to be basically the only position in the squad where we don't have an like-for-like replacement.

Sané would be the obvious choice, just needs to put in a performance like Chelsea away not last weeks. If not him, Pep's smart enough to get creative. He played formations like 3-3-3-1 at Bayern with no fullbacks available.

Yup. And we do have Fernandinho who can act as an emergency LB as well. With Evans and Sanchez. We will have 2 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 6 midfielders (7 if you count Foden), and 5 forwards.

That's 18 players + 2 goalkeepers. It's not a huge squad. But it's a very high quality squad. Quality over quantity essentially. Just the way Pep likes it. But it will only work if we have many players who can cover many different positions and roles.

I'm excited. By far the best squad we've had.

I saw that little fat fucker outside Sainsbury's in Denton the other week. Red twat who pretends to support Bury.
 
gonna be like Christmas day for some of the smaller clubs tomorrow with us playing the part of Santa...will be getting decent players on loan for free with us paying most of the wages, again.
 
It seems to me like there is a ton of big and expensive transfers that are probably going to take place. Yet.....it seems like very few of them will be confirmed today.

Evans, Sanchez, Coutinho perhaps?, Ox, Mbappe, Aurier, Bony, Llorente, Delph, Mangala, Barkley, Drinkwater, Mahrez, VVD, Costa....and probably a lot more.

Tomorrow will be an absolutely insane day.....

Mbappe was done wasn't it. They've agreed a loan (!!!) with the commitment to buy next year, good way around FFP if you can persuade/bully the previous club into accepting it
