I can't see how anyone can lobby for Danilo at LB next season. He has been dire on that side (which is to be expected perhaps).

I disagree. I think he's a capable deputy who has suited our ideal full back style of play better than Delph (who hasn't offered as much support to the LW) and Zinchenko (who sometimes gets caught out not tracking back). He's not been perfect, but he's not really had a continuous run of games to develop form.

Besides, in the solution I posted we will also have Delph, Zinchenko, Walker, Laporte and a better deputised Fernandinho in the squad who can play LB.

Doesn't bringing back Maffeo & letting Danilo go srill leave us a specialist LB short? Unless you're saying Delph & Zinchenko as tge 2nd & back up LB's...

No because Danilo, Delph and Zin are not specialist LBs.

The way I see it is this: if Angeliño proves himself we’ll have:

Mendy: Mainly LB and possibly CB in an emergency
Angeliño: Mainly back up LB, can also play LW if needed
Delph: utility LB and DM, CM, possibly leaves for more playing time

If not

Mendy: Same
Delph: Back up LB and to be used when we defend more in games, DM,CM option
Zinchenko: Back up to Delph in case of injury, used more in games as LB when we have 70% of the ball and possible option in the “free 8” position.

Would prefer the first option but don’t know if Angeliño is ready.

Fred and Dybala would be the ideal high-profile signings. Would be great to see Angelino and Maffeo join the first team squad too

I'd move Yaya and Danilo on. If Dybala or another top forward comes, Aguero will probably leave too :(

Our purchasing power is second to none and we should be aiming for the best. 400M should get both of them. We also seriously weaken the 2 best teams in the prem after ourselves.
Mahrez would be an easy buy but would he really improve us?
Some have suggested Hazard but I've been unimpressed recently.

We need to think big and flex our financial muscle.

Think Gunn be sold Muric will go out on loan and Bravo will stay one more season. With Ederson being so good and young any top goalie won’t want to stay to second choice for the next ten years!

Bravo wants to stay happyish to be second choice with his family apparently happy in Manchester.
