And have you any reason to suspect that the management haven't considered the above, and have plans in place to deal with the issues before the end of the window ?
City don't advertise their plans through the media in general, but still manage to do the deals they consider necessary.
Of course — and you're right to point out that we've taken this approach before. We didn’t immediately replace the likes of Aguero, Kompany, or others when they left. Instead, we waited patiently for the right opportunity, and ultimately brought in the ideal players — but it's fair to say we also benefited from a degree of good fortune during those transitional periods.
Back then, we had a core of genuinely world class player like Silva, Yaya, Aguero, Kompany and Kev - all who were operating at such a high level that they could absorb the pressure and help carry the squad through times of imbalance. Right now, we don’t have that same level of elite individual brilliance to lean on across the pitch. We have Rodri who's coming back from a near career ending injury.
Meanwhile, our rivals are spending aggressively, with clubs bringing in players valued at over £100 million and investing with clear intent to close the gap or further push away from us. The margin for error has all but vanished. This isn't a window where we can simply roll the dice and hope things fall into place. We need to be decisive and proactive, addressing the gaps before they become vulnerabilities that cost us over the course of a long, demanding season.
