We also wanted Rice to state he only wanted to join us - helps the bargaining - and he wouldn't as he was happy to join either

Well all 3 have had an excellent finish to the season and helped us get over the line the last 10 league games, so that would be a shame imho.

Kovacic will be injured the whole summer after taking surgery most likely after the CWC. No one will go for him. Bernardo and Gundo will refuse to leave. Yep they will all stay as backups. 8 CM next season we will be there.

But the time is right? Viana has no attachment to these guys, its a footballing decision to him and business to get the best for the club? Managers get attached to players, not football directors.

I do. Just the CM position will be overcrowded which might hinder the club to actually go for some players. It’s the same with Stones and Ake. We have too many CB and night loan out 2 of them just to accommodate 2 injured ones

Managers get attached to players, sure, but so do supporters, and I’m a supporter. I was posting in that capacity.

Maybe you should let the club know before they buy any of these targets we are heavily linked to , because if you are right we have no room for any new players.
Except with your record it’s a 99.9% chance you aren’t

True but most fans are fickle and have spent most of the season hammering Bernardo and Gundogan (wtih good reason) for being past it etc but now a couple of good weeks and its all fine? We will always remember these two with huge fondness but they need gone! Dont forget as well that Bernardo has wanted out for two seasons as well?
