Id take Wirtz in a heart beat and he is at least equal quality to the ones going

But what they may have done is replace quality with equal quality.....Kerkez has prem experience and looked good in a lesser team so he can improve again and has the traits that Robertson had

Frimpong aint TAA going forward ill give you that - TAA was poor defensively - Ive seen that Frimpong aint great either.

If they replace Nunez with Isak that is a huge upgrade - that is not even arguable

The issue I have is that if you look at who we are trying to replace or need to replace then its harder

KDB - ok you aint getting anyone his quality straight off - though if we had got Wirtz Id say you had the next best thing and someone who could become KDB levels - Cherki - is a complete Mavrick type player....could be the next Messi - could be the next Balotelli - it literally could go either way

Walker - we have zero replacement for

Gundo - reijnders - Looks absolute quality - great purchase

BUT - we need to replace at least one of our centre halves and that hasnt been done and we have no right back - if we can get at least a right back/defender in before the window closes Id say we were looking set but our list of defenders at present looks unbalanced:

Gvardiol - great player
Rico/Nunes - not good enough defensively either of them
Akanji - decent but seems to be going backwards and if that continues its worrying
Dias - great leader but form as been iffy for 12 months and could be exposed by having no right back
Stones/Ake - wont play enough games (esp Stones) to have an effect - If Stones can stay fit this changes the whole complexion but how likely is that?
Alt Nouri - quality player - im presuming the back up for him is Nico OReilly - who is good enough against some teams but not against the best. ...id use Nico Oreilly in some games to give Alt Nouri a rest
Khusonov - looks good - personally id play him at fullback above Rico and Nunes but I can see why Pep wont...he cant play the attacking role...Id also be tempted to test him in some games by dropping Dias and playing him next to Gvardiol
Reis - an unknown

Idk about just as good. We’re in different periods. Their window is good for them and how they wanna play. Ours is good our rebuild that’s gonna take 2 more windows.

Out of those I agree Kerkez is the one that wouldn’t walk into our team with RAN coming in.

However, the other two are huge upgrades. Frimpong does everything Nunes can but far better in every department. Wirtz would have been an outstanding signing, but Cherki is a very sensible back up plan and both could have been signed (Wirtz + Cherki that is).
 
Someone I hope people know that our rebuild is still far from being done. We’ll prolly have to spend another 300 mil.
If Doku, Savio, Bobb don’t awaken we’ll need a winger and sell one of them
When Bernardo, Kova, Gundo leave we’ll need another 8
No RB this summer so we’ll have to go big there
Ake, Stones and Akanji will be gone and maybe Reis or Bah would join but an extra defender would be needed too.

So I wouldn’t be too phased about what other teams are doing. Our dynasty is still going strong

Why would any club buy a player or loan a player now they’d just have to pay there wages earlier or pay the fee now! So be last week of the window I’d expect when the player will realise they’ll get no game time and the clubs will loan them or pick them up for a next to nought!

Funny people talk about it other teams with no problem and they’ll all hit seasons well! Others just look at what our problems could become! Baffling!
 
Got family who live in dipper land and they are of the opinion that Liverpool have learned from City”s mistake of not strengthening big time after a title winning season.

I’m more than happy with our additions.

Ait-Nouri is a better fit for us than Kerkez, Cherki has arguably a higher ceiling than Wirtz and the others I’m not overly fussed about. If we can bring in a right back, I’d make us favourites for the title.

We don’t really know yet, but that was my argument about why the loaned player situation is different this time, wingers I agree depends on Savinho and Doku, Bobb is more a 10 as is Echeverri, so we'll see how those 2 go.
The 8 I believe Nypan is seen as an 8 as will O’Reilly, added to Reijnders and Gonzalez, again remains to be seen how they develop.
Centre back again depends on Bah, Reis, Khusonov.
Lots of ifs and buts and maybes obviously and impossible to tell who makes it who doesn’t but until next summer we won’t know which positions need purchases and which don’t other than right back probably. But would hope out of those 9 a handful do establish themselves in the squad.
