It's Quiet the £250m return

I don't think Cherki is a maverick i think hes just been labelled due to sporting director comments and a piece of shit owner, I dont think a maverick player would go and get a Psychologist , a physio and a Nutritionist. Also if you look at what his team mates and training staff say he's a hard worker and is always working hard in training.

A few comments from lyons owner calling Cherki little prick and a former sporting director saying that all he thinks about is himself, when it was then contradicted by the training staff and coaches is why he's be labelled a maverick like Tarrabt, Fekir , Nasri etc also that he's from the suburbs.

His whole time at Lyon he's carried the team, while Lyon was going through financial difficulties, a new manager every few months and a new owner. Even with those disruptions he's put up crazy numbers.

First time in his career he's now with a stable environment and stable manager. Lyon finally had a sort of stable environment last season and he got in the team of the year in ligue un , dribbler of the year and europa league team of the season. He put up his best numbers in his career. Numbers that resemble Kev at Wolfsburg.

He's already scored and assisted for us. 4 games played 1 goal and 1 assist. His stats are already absurd and all he's played is the club world cup. He's creating 3 to 4 chances per 90 minutes.
I'm in no way doubting his talent on the pitch

I’m not going to lie, this isn’t just me hyping him because he’s a City player and don’t get me wrong, Wirtz is incredibly talented and has proven a lot already. But Cherki? Cherki is on another level in terms of raw, unfiltered talent. He’s ridiculously gifted—there’s a flair and unpredictability to his game that makes him a nightmare to defend, for me he is suited for City.

Truthfully, I’d be more worried facing Cherki than Wirtz. His ceiling is frightening, and even this doesn't fully capture how highly I rate him. I’m genuinely excited to see how he evolves in this City setup. If we develop him right, we could be looking at one of the most electrifying players of the next generation.

Likewise , he may not start like a house on fire due to inexperience, and possibly opportunity, but I feel after one or two seasons when you look how both have performed i won't be suprised if Cherki has outperformed Wirtz

If we spend £30m, I would be happy. Not a fucking chance. So, miserable is the road I must traverse. Again.

Monopoly money. To be fair, our board still wouldn't spend, even if we had the same level of dosh.

Meanwhile we still have 37 on the payroll and at least 10 to move on if they want to play football.
Here's my prediction of how we'll end up

Can't see Kushanov being loaned out mate.

The 4 to make way that need to imo will be one of Ortega or Ederson, Reis and Echeverri on loan, and one or maybe both of Gundo and Akanji.

Grealish and or Stones andmay also leave but not sure they would actively be replaced this summer. McAtee likely to go too, but that doesn't change anything.
You are right that while not part of the squad, moves still need sorted for Phillips and other such fringe players.

I think City should loan all the players they bought last January apart from Marmoush

There are 60-70 games per season, and I don't think they will play even 10 games if they stayed.

If Doku takes on Kompany and Henry's advice could see his numbers sky rocket this season. He's started to do what they said at the club world cup.
Yeah I really think we could see a stand out season from him. Hopefully he stays fit.

Haaland and Marmoush will take a lot of minutes but hopefully he gets good chances.

Controversial. With Rodri likely to have a stop-start season and Kovacic already missing the start of the season through injury, allowing Gonzalez to leave now would be foolhardy. If all players were fit and in form, he might indeed be superfluous, but it was mistakenly thinking that all players would remain fit and injury-free that precipitated our slide in the first place.

No, think he’ll be quite happy now playing this season and going back to Portugal next summer.
I wouldn’t be surprised with a little extension if this year goes well.

Being club captain, being settled at City, earning good money. The wants a move to Europe has passed and he’s not going to Saudi, America or Turkey.

Just feel like he’s not ready for the Portuguese retirement home just yet.

Kerkez, Frimpong, Wirtz, Ekitike, Rodrygo.

Imagine if that was our window. Ffs.
Ye but only Wirtz is true quality.

Frimpong good going forward but can't defend not much of an upgrade on Nunes.

Rodrygo has worse stats for Madrid than Savinho did for Girona.

Ekitike has potential but far from complete, managed a whopping 15 goals last season, less than Marmoush who left the same club in Jan.

Kerkez decent player but we bought Ait-Nouri.

If they get Isak it's a belting window but as it stands now I'd say ours is better.

Manchester City is asking for a hefty price for the national player.

Jack Grealish (29) is on his way out at Manchester City – and Everton FC is positioning itself. But a possible loan deal could be really expensive.

According to The Times, the Toffees would have to pay a whopping €14 million to loan Grealish for one season. The reason: City wants the new club to cover most of his salary (around €350,000 per week).

Speculation about his departure intensified when Grealish did not travel to the Club World Cup in the US. However, according to the Observer, he voluntarily opted out to consider his future, not because Guardiola had dropped him.

A brief meeting between the coach and player took place at an Oasis concert in Heaton Park a few weeks ago. The two spoke “warmly” in the VIP area, according to reports. Afterwards, Grealish reportedly thought: Maybe City is still the right place for him after all.

But competition at City is fierce. Everton could offer him a fresh start – provided the club is willing to dig deep into its pockets.
