It's Quiet the £250m return

I'm not actually sure that Rodrygo is a world superstar , I think part of his beef is that he is eternal back up to the stars in the Madrid team.
I think the likes of Sanchez Bellingham and Messi who we tried to sign are as big stars.
Fair enough aye, maybe it’s just the amount of times we’ve played Madrid in the CL, but Rodrygo seems like a big star to me.

I also think, bar Messi, when have we ever signed or tried to sign a player from a team who is on the same level as us.

This summer looks like it’s about to take off
Lots of moving parts and clear the club want some big names
I’m sure we could buy rodrygo and donarumma right now, but we need maximum leverage on selling players like Ederson and savinho
Now Rico Lewis and James mcatee look like they may be leaving too
For me viana is doing about as well as he can be at the moment

Something feels off about these links.

My best guess would be that both Ederson and Savinho stay, we don’t bring anyone else in and just offload the likes of McAtee, Ortega (both sold) and Echeverri on loan.
Could be right.
But there’s a lot of noise at the moment and it’s coming from somewhere
Problem we have is we’re trying to sell and you can only sell when someone is ready to bid
But looks like a lot of late business is going to happen

Nico isnt going to be trusted in that position until he proves he can be, it's too vital a position to push through with players who dont get it. if the 6 isnt on it, our entire gameplan suffers badly.

Reijnders needs to be freed up for the 3rd man runs, tying him down to a midfield 2 role gives him too much defensive responsibility and removes a large portion of the threat he can offer, or if he leaves his role to offer that threat, it then leaves us wide open on transition.

He's got to be played as a second 8 that acts as a 10, putting him as an 8 with a solo 6 and another 10, again leaves us wide open.
I’m betting that Paqueta comes in.

I suspect that is more because it is hard to get those players other than when they are surplus to requirements and when they are they often don't suit us. But these two maybe do.
But you could argue that Gundogan and Barcelona last season meet that criteria.

Clearly every transfer represents a different set of circumstances. I just don't think that these two represent a new way of thinking and couldn't have happened previously under similar circumstances.

I don’t think we’re particularly trying to sell Ederson and Savinho though, We’ve just had them bring offers to us which are currently too low. We ideally don’t want to let them go but we are realistic enough to know that if we can get a good fee then they can leave.

The links to Rodrygo and Donnarumma feel entirely agent driven through Romano.
exactly this

there are rumours around that Romano is being paid to destabalize certain players at certain clubs for other clubs benefit.

I personally hate Romano...I think he is a cockroach of a man who somehow has built up this presence online and in the world of football and who is being paid to do the dirty work of some clubs or agents (or both)

Get ready - as we speak The Tragic Twat/Nick Harris will be preparing a 35 consecutive tweet missive on why this all indicates City are guilty and about to relegated to the Chesman Sunday League
And he’d be right!………….. Gets hat.

If stones were to play inverted right back, rudolf could start at 8 and move to a second 10 when stones moves across. Problem with that is that that wouldn’t suit Ait Nourie. But this new squad does seem to give us more options. We could also go 3 at the back with Ait Nouri as wing back

My personal feeling on recent activity are:

Sav - has made it clear he wants more game time...doesnt feel like he is up for the battle to get a starting spot.....spurs have put a low ball offer in (now surprise there). City have told them to do one but will be willing to sell if the right offer comes in.

Romano and other online cockroaches have gotten wind of this and then started to just to connect dots - City for Rodrygo - pushed by an agent through Romano. I wouldnt be opposed to us getting Rodrygo as he is a very good player but I dont want any of that Galactico shit attitude brought with him.

Ederson - his head isnt totally with us - we have known this for a while. However he is the best keeper at present for our system and unless that system changes then that remains a fact. However we could see a change in system...there has been more evidence that Pep is looking to change how we are playing and the employment of Pep Mk 2 seems to fuel this. Hence we bring in Trafford. Now for me keeping Eddie and integrating Trafford and then letting Eddie go next summer is the ideal scenario and maybe the club were thinking that. However Galatasary have maybe through the media/agents etc let it be known they want Ederson (Ive said before though that this seems a strange move for him - if it was to the Saudi Pro league to go and earn generational wealth then I could understand it..he has won everything he is going to win) - but to Galatasary? Unlike Gundo he has no connection there whatsoever and yes he may well win that league but so what?

So again is all the Donarumma stuff just the club acting quickly on an opportunity or is it again just agent/Romano driven to drive a narrative that ultimately just pays them money whatever the outcome...(city get Donurumma or we get gazzumped by Utd - both outcomes just are potential huge clickbait)

The latest talk seems to be that City are happy to keep Ederson but if he wants to leave they would be in the market for another keeper (we know Ortega isnt ultimately good enough and Bettanelli is just taking the role as chearleader left but Scott Carson)

In other news:

McAtee looks forest bound for 30m+

I think the Rico Lewis news is just clickbait and zero to it.

All in all we still need a right back more than anything.

This is getting more drawn out than the 115 charges thread…..and for the same reason…..we know Jack shit.
