It's Quiet the £250m return

20+ mil for Trafford who isn't PL-proven is a great deal but anything over 20mil for the best shot stopper in the world is 'a lot'? Ok mate.
I am not sure if he is the best goalie in the world would depend on type of goalie.

But regardless you keep ignoring wages, contract length and other factors. I never said 20 was a lot 40 is tho. Clearly city and everyone else also thinks so or he would have moved by now especially if he is the best in the world

Rogers isn't a clear step up on Rodrygo, nor is he of comparable quality to Foden, Cherki or Reijnders.

He just isn't our level.
Clearly wrong ha ha hes no where City's Level
Right on cue... lol. Not even a day later and leaks start popping up that Slot wants him. Funny he's a target for Liverpool, but he's supposedly not City level. Liverpool are currently title favorites btw. Oh, and they have Florian Wirtz and Sozbo at 10 already... you just don't pass up on this level of talent.

Like I mentioned yesterday. Would surprise me if we weren't sniffing around despite not having an obvious role for him at the moment. Ceiling on this lad makes it a no brainer. I reckon he'd play his way intp our best XI for every match of the run-in this season. Just so effective.

You may think he is a great player. Slot may believe that too. It does not make it right, and we have direct experience of the player.

We have direct experience with a lot of superstars that we'd love to have back at the club...

Players grow.

I have to be honest and cannot think of one, with the possible exception of Palmer, and it isn't certain that he would now get into our first XI.

I accept that players do grow, yet many don't want them to grow while in our team, Lewis being an obvious example.

Is the expectation with everyone fully fit that those 2 will be left out of the squad tomorrow?
only one need miss out (or neither if O'Reilly gets rested as per my current prediction).

James Trafford;
Rico Lewis, John Stones, Ruben Dias , Rayan Aït-Nouri;
Nico Gonzáles, Tijjani Reijnders;
Bernardo Silva, Rayan Cherki, Oscar Marmoush;
Erling Haaland (F/L):

Bench: Stefan Ortega, Manuel Akanji, Nathan Aké, Rodri, İlkay Gündoğan, Matheus Nunes, Phil Foden, Jérémy Doku, Oscar Bobb.

City win 3-0

Michael Olise and Cole Palmer, the obvious ones. But also Morgan Rogers, Jeremie Frimpong, Brahim Diaz, Kieran Trippier, and of course Lavia and Delap are still showing plenty promise. Lots of misses from us.

Bit harsh to drop bobb isnt it?

What's your source telling you about Ederson
There is a bunch of players who have been told they are at risk of being dropped from the CL list.

It's obvious that both keepers are on it as we have signed 2 HG this summer.

We've got too many cbs and Ake is HG so Akanji is the obvious choice.

Gundo is a Pep favourite but he's never been a nailed on starter when everyone is fit so he's probably been told to have something available if it comes to it.

Of course all of these players could just say I'll take my chance and fight for my place even with no chance of CL football. But I suspect 3 of the above will go. Maybe 4 if we get 1 more.

Great side. I'd have Bobb for Bernardo I think he may go Bobb for Cherki.
I'm not sure about Spurs pace up front, so Khus may be an option for Dias too.

I think you have made my point there. I don't think any of those gets in our first eleven. Good players, but not the highest level, IMO. They are only misses if they replace those in our team. Olise was only with us for one season, nine years ago, so that's a bit of a stretch too.

I speak as someone who loves academy players in our team. I watch the academy regularly but other than Palmer, who had a chance, I don't think there is an academy player we let go who was ready for our first team at the time we did.

Olise and Palmer can gallivant into our best XI right now. Cmon mate. Palmer is probably the best passer in the Prem now that KDB and Trent are gone. And Olise one of the best in Europe. Either would be the perfect RW for us. I love Bobb but he's nowhere near this level YET. Same with Savinho. Not even close.

You're trying to tell me that the third most valuable winger in world football wouldn't start for us? Bayern Munich's best player last year. He literally won player of the season in his first year with them. And him and Palmer are both 23. I will stop arguing with someone with these takes lol. Waste of my time.

These are both 120m Ballon D'or levels we're talking about.
