It's Quiet the £250m return

Yeah I just feel it’s about narratives. Bobb has started both games and Pep raves about him. He didn’t play last year and now this year Savio wants out?

I do agree a lot of rotation will happen especially after the window when we are more settled.

Foden and Cherki are 10’s and I was delighted to see pep open to playing Cherki there yesterday but equally amazed he went for it so early on and against spurs. We will see a lot of games with a more structured midfield of Nico G (Rodri when fit)/Reijnders/Bernado. We will clearly play Foden and Cherki wide at times.

But all those arguments mean nothing if still bringing a player in, they’d still have to compete with all these players. It’s just all mindset. I’m amazed Savio has been completely excluded- something has happened and we will eventually hear about it. He played loads last year and if we didn’t want him to leave a public praise from Pep would give him the reassurances he wants.

We want to deal him, Viana has a different way of negotiating and maybe he like us all hates spurs/levy as well.

Yeah I suppose we won't really know much unless Sav stays and we say how he takes it. Him playing for a better deal and a world cup place could be a big asset for us.

I thought we'd go 4-2-3-1 all summer so it was good to see it but I wasn't expecting the ederson tactics without ederson or cherki, bobb, Marmoush and Reijnders to get absolutely freighttrained all game. Especially Tij - thought that was his kind of game. Less said about Haaland the better.

It's interesting to see Soriano protecting the long term - if Rodrygo doesn't turn us into title challengers over night is it worth giving up high potential players?

So firstly if you go by those stats Ederson is better with his feet...well done for proving my point and also proves my point abut him not being as good with crosses !

But more seriously, secondly it also shows how stats are misleading.....is Donarumma ever pressed, playing a sub par league for easily the most dominant team in the league? Probably not...Will he be pressed more intensely in the PL - absolutely he will by better players coached by better managers and better systems

Its like me posting a compilation of Donarumma fucking up with his feet...again it would be misleading

All you need to do is watch with your eyes

He shot stopping performances are not in question btw which Ive said repeatedly

Can't believe we're already at the stage where people are deluding themselves into thinking Donnarumma isn't shite with his feet.

I get people saying that a goalkeepers feet don't matter, as much as I disagree, but make no mistake Donnarumma is dog shit in possession.

You can use whatever City fan YouTube channel you want to try and debunk it but you should accept it now because you'll see for yourself sooner or later.

Why do so many here always lie and create stuff once we are linked to a player. From rodrygo with his shitty stats who is apparently far above Doku and savinho because of his game against us years ago while doing shit in the league with one of the most dominant teams to the fact that donnarumma is good with his feet? Why do you guys think that Enrique wanted to get rid of him for years. Just remember 22/23 PSG vs Madrid where they lost an 0-2 lead.
Donnarumma is horrible with the ball. Just horrible. He had 6 great months after average years and is the game changer now apparently.

No one has ever claimed Donnarumma is the world's best keeper in every aspect of his discipline. The stats show 3 distinct things.

1. Donnarumma isn't shit with his feet.

2. Ederson isn't a shit shot stopper.

3. Statistically Donnarumma & Ederson are number 1 & 2 respectively out of those considered amongst the world's elite keepers, hence our interest in one replacing the other.

Unless you'd like to provide your own statistical evidence to the contrary?

I'll wait...

Why we so interested then genius?

Pep lost his marbles?

Khaldoon asleep at the wheel?

Viana an inside man for the dippers?

Spot on, same goes the other way too, as soon as someone is linked away they’re suddenly shite anyway hahaha

Honestly I think a big part of it is Ederson is one of a kind and we're going to need a new keeper next summer anyway. Most young keepers are pretty bad compared to the last generation, it's no coincidence PSG went so bold on Chevalier.

With Marmoush, Khusanov, Cherki it doesn't necessarily look as if Pep-fit is all Viana is thinking about.

People who dont believe will find out the hard way, just like they did with Trafford at the weekend, how bad he really is with his feet and it will likely cost us at the start until Pep figures something out….

Of course, Ederson has never cost us anything with his feet. So there is that.

I wonder if you were one of the smartarses who came out with the same bullshit when people like me were on here saying that Kalvin Phillips was a bag of shite. Or that Grealish wasn't the next Zidane. Or that Matheus Nunes was utterly unremarkable.

Don't be afraid of a bit of critical thinking. You won't get a migraine or anything.

I don't believe I was no.
Thanks for answering the question though.

Not sure what relevance a bunch of mid table players have to do with discussing the merits of one of the undisputed best players in his position in the world with a bag full of individual and team trophies for club and country but you crack on and im sure you will be the first on here when he mis-places a pass.

So we've gone from "but Pep likes him" to "he's got some trophies."

Congratulations on proving that Donnarumma is good with his feet.
