The whole family is living in Manchester. The wife popped back for a couple of months to sort her business out with the youngest daughter, but they're all back now.
you sure?

That's what was reported, but not seen any sign it happened in terms of them returning.

Nah.

If he goes there, it will be to put his feet up.

He will leave us, take a year or 2 out, then coach in Italy, quite possibly Roma if Friedkin can push them up from 5th to 2nd/3rd. Fonseca is already the perfect coach to prepare for Pep.

Don't think he'll choose Juventus. Don't think Milan are good enough but if they get investment then I could definitely see him enjoying bringing them back.

He's been here long enough for us to know, what he says and what he does....

Not long enough apparenty and there are plenty of examples beyond yourself that demonstrates that to be the case

Not saying he won't btw. I just wouldn't take what he says too seriously. I think he's enjoying a chilled time compared to the Billy Smarts he's had to work under. Probably what turned Messi's head. A chance to enjoy footy without all the bollocks.

Then, again, you've demonstrated having learned little - trust in Pep and what he says

Jesus Christ, what signs were you expecting to see? A double page spread in the Daily Mail about how happy the wife is to be back, and a nice staged photo of the 5 of them walking through Piccadilly gardens?

There were no 'signs' the wife ever left, just a few reports.

How are you not realising that they deserve to be criticised?

I mean seriously the board hired a PR firm to create bot followed accounts to attack Messi's family on twitter and whip up anti-Messi sentiment in the fans, but him criticising the president is supposed to be unacceptable?

Bartomeu spends £375m on Griezman and Coutinho (who both only play in Messi's position, making them useless) when Neymar wanted to come back, because he didn't like the optics of it. But how dare Messi criticise it!

Pique, a bloke who screamed at Bartomeu "you did this' when they came off the pitch in the game that lost them the title, suddenly has too much respect to support Messi?
Ah. This makes my post null and void. Totally forgot about all of Bartomeu's shenanigans, I was just looking at it one sided.

I was maybe looking at it purely from a footballing perspective and not looking at the bigger picture.

My bad.

Sure it is
You can jog on with that Barca exceptionalism bullshit. You sound like a Liverpool fan with their ‘this means more’ nonsense.
‘Mes que un club’ is just a self-serving marketing slogan. Nothing more. To pretend otherwise is delusional.
The fans of every club from Rochdale to Racing Santander believe their club to be special

Could you see a scenario next year of Pep and Tixki returning to Barca to help sort the mess out?

I have no feel for Txiki and returning to Barca. Pep, there's no question he returns - just a question of when & in what capacity. Ideally, Pep would take over La Masia as the director of the youth program. Puyol is rumoured to be part of Font or Laporta's project as SD and of course Xavi as coach

I wouldn't advocate for Pep's return to coach the 1st team (How could he top what he already did?) although it'd be a great story - I see him coming back to the youth teams. Plus, as other have correctly pointed out, he hates the political BS and would prefer to stay out of the crosshairs of local media. Catalunya is his home as is Barca as his club, the return is inevitable
