I wouldn't sell him but I'm not ready to the see the little fucker in a City shirt again just yet. A quite unbelievable miss and quite unforgivable too given the situation and time in the game.

We can't afford to lose any key players though giving the gaping holes elsewhere in the squad.

agree, was talking hypothetically what we would need to improve the team to the point where we would confidently be as good as or the best in Europe. The work required would need to take acouple of

So why would we need to sell a star to buy this season then
As above. Wasn’t referring specifically to this season

the priority now has to be a CB. We can probably get away without the other additions but not in europe (we will be shafted again anyway)

@Kaz there are other outlets than blue moon forum

We were exposed, we won back to back titles with stand ins, it wasn't the only issue but for me the glaring one on that side, he wasn't there to cover

I agree to an extent. There is no perfect football side without weakness and we have to a large extent managed withthe lb situation in pep’s time. However, eventuallyyou have to sort it out and cant just carry onCancelo atLB frustrates me.

i like mendy and it adds another option if sterling cuts inside that zinchenko and cancelo don’t provide but pep doesn’t seem to really have fully confidence in mendy. He has had a few lapses in concentration as well. It would have been interesting to see howhe would have developed if he had not picked up that injury in his first season.
Lyon was not just a defensive mistake (more ederson) or sterling Miss, it was a terrible performance overall and we never got going. Team selection set the tempo.

Is Pep being in his last contract a factor in our transfer window? Are we saving up for next year, so that the new manager (preferably Nagelsmann) can get the players he wants? COVID can also play a part since we literally don't know when fans can go in, so maybe we are treading with caution? Is there still some Messi saga madness going on behind the scenes? Bartomeu may be getting impeached, they can't pay Setién let alone Suarez. With Bartomeu needing to clear out his deficit if he does get sacked, he must surely be thinking about the transfer. These are the only explanations I can think of, does anybody have any guesses what may be going on behind the scenes?
