So that’s why united have been buying so many hg players. Not sure what this would mean for us? May explain the interest in Grealish and angelino coming back.

That will do more harm than good. Clubs will hoover up hg players and play for the sake of it and will not play them.

If you are going to increase the number of HG players then you’d need to bring in a rule that all squad players have to start at least x games per season.

Impossible to enforce because injuries, illness and personal crises will cause players to miss their game quota.

Either you make superstars or buy them mate. United made Ronaldo to win a single champions league. Liverpool made themself few. Chelsea also bought so many big game players. We are not able to make them so we have to buy. Well Real madrid and barcelona buy time and again. That might be one of the reason England do not win Champions league that much as Spain.

You don't half post some nonsense.

Absolutely hg players will be even more overpriced. The best will end up at City, United etc but in reality there’s going to be token signings even at top clubs, hg players bought to fill a space nothing more. Even at moment with some very talented English players it would be difficult to find 6 or 7 good enough to play for us bearing mind that some players are untransferable.

It will be the start of a slippery slope that will end up diminishing English football.

Even then, there's likely be a grace period of maybe a season or two to allow clubs to adjust, possibly even concerning any players already signed by clubs.

There be a strong legal challenge risk if a club bought a player or five in now at huge investment, only to find the rules changed meaning the have to sell or loan out, effectively write off assets and disrupt players and their families lives and plans.

Id be all for it if there was a set price for all English players and a set wagebonus structure for them all.

If the players don't like it let them go abroad. Let the league find its level - say Scottish level and let us set more realistic expectations for European success.

It'd still be exciting to those attending. Just might not be broadcast for the rest of us.
