Is it not time someone challenged these ridiculous contract buyout clauses under employment law.
Surely it is restrictive practice if not slavery (albeit well paid slaves)

Either they have to go or FFP as no club could comply also taking wages into consideration
It’s Spanish contract law mate. Nowt to do with FIFA or UEFA

Messi wants out at any cost (no turning back) He want to come here (wants to win and be no 1 again under pep), we would do whatever it takes to bring him here.
It might take time. Why worry.
SIT BACK AND RELAX

Ah, but they are bothered. Hence why the club try hard to comply ever since it came in.

Fined For failing FFP in 2014 - because Uefa moved goalposts after accounts submitted.

Fined in 2020 for uncooperation - because the club complied with FFP, got stitched up by UEFA, Then refused to cooperate due to stitch up.
You missed his point completely

Fucking hell, you'd think the world was ending reading the last few pages of this thread.

If you have the chance to buy the greatest footballer ever to have lived, even if you only get two years out of him, you take the deal ffs.

I haven’t bought a new city shirt since around 2008, but I’ll be getting one with Messi on it no doubt. As will thousands and thousands of other people. The initial outlay sounds a lot, but this signing takes us to the next level, and if we win the champions league with him here then it’s pocket change.

where has this, we will pay 100m come from, he is a free agent, we will not soften the blow of barca losing Messi, we aren't a charity, fuck em, screw them down, and if they want any of our players let them pay full whack , they are fucked ,we shouldn't give them a helping hand , theses fuckers were behind all the shit with the rest of the slimy fuckers.
