Suppose we will see. If they do nothing then it confirms he has them bank to rights.

Or it’s ambiguous and later on they then can’t claim well he he knew he was in contract hence him coming to training

I suspect if they accept a transfer fee of any sort it cements the transfer rather than allowing for any future action. Given the dispute over his contract it may well be the cleanest way of getting the deal through.

Still far from clear what Barça will be prepared to compromise on, though.

You could look at that either way. If we offer a token fee and they turn it down it could give credibility to their argument that a fee is due.
