I just hope that if he does end up at City, we allow him to do this. Last season, our wingers were either extremely reluctant to attack full backs, or they were instructed not to. The last thing I want to see is Lionel Messi spending most of his time, passing to Kyle Walker.

I think we all thought Mahrez was going to be the player that could ghost past players and give us a different dimension - whereas I accept some of his reluctance to get beyond fullbacks was down to coaching I think when Phil took his place on a couple of games late in the season we suddenly seemed more dynamic. I also think Torres is going to surprise a few with his pace and ability to beat players.

I can't see Messi passing on responsibility - his play especially when coached by Pep, was all about creating chances and scoring - if this signing happens we will tear teams apart mainly because he will enhance the players we already have - there will not be games we lose after having 20+ shots, 70% possession and only one goal to show for it. Common theme last season was low conversion rate, something that Pep was frustrated about.
