More absolute twatter bollocks -this citychief account posts more bullshit than the rest of twatter combined.
He’s a fucking news aggregator. He doesn’t post ANY of his own thoughts or theories.

You’re on a thread about transfers and the gossip the media writes about them. If you then take out all of those stories (as being bollocks) then you simply have a thread with Tolmie posting what he’s heard and fuck all else until a transfer is complete and official. This then leads me to ask why you’d click on this thread in the first place if you don’t like reading what the media is musing about transfers.

Seems like we are Sleepwalking into another shit season. Fiddling while Rome burns.
Points at the start of the season are worth just as much as points at the end.
There’s me thinking City we’re top of the ‘project restart’ table and have since strengthened with two very good signings and with more to come.

Basically carried on losing any of the games that truly mattered though apart from a pretty poor Madrid side where we did turn up. However the manager addressed that in the next round. His post is spot on we’ve lost 2 great players and signed 2 with potential. Fair play on those 2 signings but we really needed to also make 2 top draw signings after losing our title by a mile. We’re in danger of slipping back to the pack as we’ve not improved the team with transfers since Laporte.

There is still time left, but understandable frustration that the key signings required a WC CB in this case koulibaly still hasn't been signed yet, as it is obvious he will take time to settle in a new league let alone new country. With Laporte in quarantine, most likely we will have one of Stones or Nico against a dangerous wolves side along side Ake, who himself will need to settle in our system.

Hope there is movement on that regard and possibly a lb and quality striker.

The Messi news from Tolmie just keeps us entertained.

People should be happy. Media is the reason why there is talk of transfers in the first place. Otherwise everyone would just know transfers when they happen that IMO would be dull as hell.

at least it would be factual which in my opinion is what news should be - not made up shit most of the time - thats across media platforms including the main ones I might add

Ridiculous to say we haven't improved with our two new signings when you haven't even see them kick a ball for us.

When will people ever learn that you can sign the biggest of names and still be no better off.

Points at the start of the season are worth just as much as points at the end. We are in danger of being seriously undercooked for Wolves and Leicester while the usual suspects will still insist Stones and Garcia ‘just need time’.
None of the blatantly obvious problems are being addressed. Four years into Guardiola’s tenure as manager and the same old flaws remain. Centre back replacement for Vinnie and an even vaguely competent left back neglected for square pegs in round holes who are ‘versatile’ and can ‘do a job’ there.
All our rivals for the Champions League have specialists in those positions. FFS. Even fucking Southampton, Burnley and Leeds have specialists in those positions.
To not have a left back worthy of the name after, what, seven or eight years in the job is gross incompetence on the part of Begiristain. Even the happiest of clappers must accept that.
Meanwhile there is a Captain Ahab-style doomed pursuit of the Barcelona of a 10/15 years ago. The ghost of what Messi used to be and a Poundland Busquets who turns slower than milk protecting a depressingly ropey defence. Gundogan present at every failure and every big game, just to twist the knife.
Garcia is short and slow as a man in diving boits filled with cowshit - and even he wants to leave. But his agent is Pep and Txiki’s Catalan mate so lets keep developing a lad for Barcelona rather than fucking him off and developing a lad for City instead. Defend that one, Clappers.
We need to drop the Barcelona obsession and develop this club in its own right. We need to defend and promote our own identity not be content to be a second hand tribute act.
We should be seeking to be the very best at everything, on and off the field. And if that means telling a few sacred cows that the best of everything doesn’t necessarily come from Catalonia then fuck them

Mbappe has apparently told PSG that he is leaving next summer. I mean, if there ever was a perfect striker for us. This is it.

Mbappe and Haaland available next summer. Does it even make sense to sign a striker this summer?
