How come Madrid are selling him if he is that good?
We should be pulling Madrid’s pants down I reckon. We beat them home and away last season, proving our players were at least twice as good, so should offer them ffs Mahrez for Isco, Regulion + cash...

Must be a special talent if Neymar's managed to win more than any player on our team just diving, rolling and screaming around. Pep should take notes, maybe those are the key ingredients.
He would be sent off of booked for diving every week if he played for us, he was indulged in Spain as that is their culture and he is indulged in France because he plays for the top team

Strange hill to die on and he has a thread

Lose cartilage you can suffer from joint inflammation that flares up after training games. Cartilage lubricates and cushions bone at joints. It provides a smooth surface between joints, and if you lose some of that it can increase wear and tear. In that sense its general.
Depends if it was replaced

Most goals we conceded last season came from the left hand side and we still havent signed a LB, dont want to hear Ake can play there etc. At our club right now there is no recognised LB apart from Mendy who has not been the Mendy of Monaco since the injuries. Cancelo yes been good there but hes a RB playing LB. We are going into the season hoping and praying right now that Mendy dosent get injured. Even though this Mendy is not the Monaco Mendy has a mistake in him.

Another reason we lost games last season, Midfield. We miss legs in the midfield energy, Rodri yes it was his first season so that can be excluded, but he was still slow , Gundogan slow not able to keep pace when the oppostions midfield counter. Foden hopefully will be played in midfield but i dont think Pep will play him there. KDB our best player does everything but he cant press and do all the midfield duties himself. Bernardo we are all hoping hes moved into the midfield but i think Pep just sees him as a RW or a false 9. We havent so far added any legs to midfield to help KDB.

I honestly think CB has been improved on with Ake. Ake was brilliant for bournemouth, him and Laporte together will be solid and will help us, and improve us alot in the backline. I might get destroyed for this but i think Midfield should be priority right now, the attack has been improved on Ferran torres looks like a bargain, Ake improves our defence. Gundogan, Rodri midfield seems to slow we need a new Fernandinho someone to cut passing lanes and bring energy to that midfield Allan wouldve been perfect from Napoli.

Overall i think the same problems will persist next season teams will target the left side since its our main weakness, also teams will gang up in midfield on Gundogan and Rodri as they are to slow meaning we are very vunerable to counter attacks. i really do hope we sign a LB and a mifielder by the end of this transfer window or Gundogan and Rodri can prove me wrong next season and be brilliant together.

I agree, but quite a few of the players we have brought in, would be even further away from it, if they played against 'men'.

It was as if, 'small or small ish, not too quick, not physically strong, no tackling or heading neat & tidy on the ball but limited goal threat' was a prerequisite for half the signings.

I recon if the goal is to sell young players on, then it could have been done a lot better.

I also think that's utterly wrong, if that is the case. Players at City, should be for City, end of.

Which players are we talking about ? And how could we have got more ?

Quite a lot of the ones from Spain etc.

We've just brought another one in from Barca if I remember rightly. Poncy little thing who looks no better than what we have already.

We would get more money for academy kids we can't use if we only brought in ones who had something special about them & then we played more of them off the bench, to give them a chance & a higher profile.

I just listened to the Transfer Window Podcast with Duncan Castles and another football fella, and they say our offer for Koulibaly is 60m euros and 3m in add-ons, which is quite reasonable for a 29-year old. An agreement looks close.

Given how long this has dragged on I'm convinced it will only happen right at the end of the window if at all.

No. Do you honestly belive we have improved areas where we were exposed multiple times last season? ferran torres absolutely brilliant player for Valencia last season will explode here. Ake amazing for Bournemouth was brilliant against the Rags front 3. We were exposed multiple times on the left last season and theres no sign of improvement in that area? i wasnt stating all that to be negative. i think our attack has improved with Torres and Ake improves Cb which is brilliant. but when teams target the LB as a weakness in our team and we are not addressing it thats a very big negative.

If we do get Koulibaly I think we will be better at covering our weaknesses in general.

For anyone grumbling this summer about the lack of signings... we’d all do well to remember 2004 when we had to settle for 4 free transfers... two of whom were Ben Thatcher and Danny Bloody Mills.

Enjoyed watching Thatcher in our team, thought he was decent. Less said about the other one the better.

But things are different now, we're awash with cash.
