I don't want them doing that shit where they mither the ref but a bit more shithousery towards the other team is well needed. It's almost like other teams can get in our face and rough our players up and get away with it. We need a few lads who are prepared to dish it back out.

I agree, and I've been saying this for ages. You cannot and should not be a soft arse or ever back down from giving some fucker an absolute mouthful of abuse if it gives your team an advantage, or shuts them up because they know they can't intimidate you.

There don't seem to be many players in the game anywhere at all these days like Vieira, Keown, Wise, Keane (twat) and Adams, Terry, etc. Football getting softer, or too much chance of being retrospectively punished by var?

no chance of either imo. They have found a very reliable way of deciding the outcome of games with VAR. they will not want city to win the pl for a few seasons if they can prevent it, the CL is even further out of our grasp on the same basis.
VAR has made some bad decisions but we can’t blame it solely on VAR. If Laporte didn’t make two errors vs Tottenham then we don’t need VAR and it was Laporte that lost the ball before he was tripped against lyon. It is a new season let us go with fresh minds and forget about the past and try to win it not say VAR is there to stop us. Remember we also had a soft penalty that was given against Tottenham that aguero missed. We cant keep blaming VAR because we can’t control it

No way in this world can city be written off, rusty as fuck at the moment but everyone is,stay in mix and its on,read that van dik has played 92 games on bounce in prem that is unreal, but they will get a couple injurys surely this time around, that same 11 week in week out just wont get you thru this season 1 or 2 big injurys and there fucked

Quiet again isn’t it.... and only 3 and a bit days to go. Not exactly sure of the time the window slams shut on Monday. C’mon City!!

If the squad stays as it is, whats peoples thoughts on winning the league and champions league?
I'll wait until I see Dias and how we line up. We also need Aguero back. Jesus can't lead City on his own.

I think we can win the league but it's quite a big ask to expect Dias to settle in straight away.

Just after you posted this, there's a Brentford player having treatment because a PASS hit him on the head!

Fucking wuss.
Brentford CF is decent Behrami
it will entirely depend on fernandinho and that is damming in and of itself. At least we shouldn’t need him at cb

For me its keeping Laporte, Kev, Dino, Raz & Bernardo fit & Aguero back playing

No 2. Not fucking playing Mendy
No 3. Liverpool getting some bad luck with injuries

That happens then we have a chance

Think you might be right BIg Dave, I just wish we would announce a huge signing with seconds to go that nobody had leaked. I know .. I know but just once for a laugh..

He was saying that at the start of the transfer window however!

I think other teams seem to have that bit we've lost it a bit. There's plenty of twats at Liverpool who don't mind giving it the big 'un on the pitch. I've not doubt most if not all of them wouldn't say a word off the pitch but like you say it gives off the impression that their team can't be bullied.

Don't think we'd have any chance to be honest

Look well unbalanced in midfield and I don't consider us to have a left back.

Jesus probably needs an upgrade too

Crazy most of the fans and media can see it but City aren't doing anything about it

Our centrebacks (and defense overall) is what has let us down for so many years in the UCL. We’ve now signed two top quality centrebacks who, in any normal covid-free year, would have cost alot more. We got Rúben and Aké for a combined netspend of around €98m, which only a year ago barely was enough to cover Dias alone. It’s insane. On top of that we already had one of the top CBs in the world with Laporte. I don’t think our CB-options never looked this strong.

If Agüero finds his form and stays fit, Ferna staying fit along with our top CBs, we have a better chance than ever.
