Cancelo's final ball and shots are woeful.

Isn't any worse than Telles' who is a left-back and Taglifico isn't any better either.

I think when Cancelo is fit again we will see more of Ake at left back. There will be more balance to the side with Cancelo adding the attacking threat down the right, rather than Walker.

Thank you. Finally someone agrees! Ake LB, Cancelo right back is our best FB pairing. Ake is a rock defensively and is quick while Cancelo is also quick and can offer a lot in attack as well as being much much better in possession than Walker. We’ll be much more balanced with this pairing as opposed to Mendy and Walker.

Once again Pep is Zinny's saving grace. Any other manager would sign a left back anyway and leave him in the stands until he gets the message.

keeping players fit is going to be impossible ? i said yesterday that city and the players have 21 games and 6 international games before christmas ? that's about 11 weeks to play 27 games ?

this is asking to much of the players and we are wondering why teams are getting battered in shock defeats
maybe the FA and the premier league need to review its plans and keep the transfer window open all season

city have not a great squad anymore and we are short up front and need a striker, also a left back and attacking midfield player, losing david silva should have not been a big issue, but its shows why phil foden was not ready to take his shirt, little david silva was more to this team than we all thought he was ? when things got tight he would just take control and hold the ball and work his magic

I disagree mate, we are lacking in maybe left back squad wise but if you look at the squad its the best by a far distance. Its the 1st 11 that needs to develop due to age and experience.

Walker/cancelo no 2 better rbs in league
Dias/stones best again
Laporte/ake outstanding
Mendy/zinchenko 1st team player required, mendy great rotation option.
Rodri/ferna get Douglas Luiz to replace ferna
Kdb/doyle/palmer backups are all potential
Foden/bernado need to settle
Mahrez/torres best in league
Sterling/braaf backup is potential
Kun/jesus/delap best in the league.

That squad in a year with more experience and used to playing together will be outstanding. Yes lb is needed I'm disappointed we haven't bought one in but ake and cancelo can play there, but mendy is improving. Next season a new striker and cdm and it is peps team, everyone will be his buy and the only player past his prime "age" will be walker and he isn't losing pace or performance.

The kids we can bring through are technically brilliant and mostly city fans. Foden, doyle, palmer and thb are baby blues, bleeding blue blood. Delap, braaf, mcatee (next talent that needs blooding), etc all are exciting.

Mate, this squad should excite any city fan. The spine of our team could be city fans in a few years, that's a dream!!! 2/3 purchases next year/january/few hours and we are set barring injuries, freak incidents, transfers out. This year might be frustrating but this is a pep 2.0 team.

We havent signed a lb because our hierarchy would blow another £50m-£60m on an attacking threat that cant defend and we’d be no better off than we are now.

They cant understand that a lb should cost £10m-£20m max. in this market and we’d have that if we sold our 5th choice cb to barca. We have it now anyway.

Our best lb in the last 5 years has been Delph and even he got found out positionally fairly regularly.

All your lb needs to do is defend well and be able to pass to the midfield. For the most part delph did that and he was a regular in our best team in recent memory. Get back to that.
