So are the players being paid in bitcoin? Where can they/us/anybody use bitcoin? Is it now a legal currency?
Laporte either chooses to leave or ups his game.
Lol stones had no other option but to step up unfortunately. Different to Laporte's situationLaporte chose to leave when he started moaning to the press about not getting game time. Stones lost his place and got his head down and worked on his game. Laporte lost his place and starts talking to the press about game time and now sniffing around any team that will have him. I know which of the two I'd rather have.
Well he did, he could have moved to another tean and settled for that, would probably even have kept his England place moving to an Arsenal or a Spurs.Laporte has the same options except he can move to a Madrid or Barcelona, so slightly better options.Lol stones had no other option but to step up unfortunately. Now this I like. The Laporte situation is really not one to be worried about.
He's got 4 years left on his deal, so Barca or Real can pay up or fuck off, and if he wants to play in the world cup he can't burn bridges and sulk.
Pau Torres is widely considered a lesser (but promising) player and he's on the market for €65m. So the asking price for Laporte is €75m minimum and then they if they scrape the money together, we instantly pick up Torres or Kounde's release clauses, or someone else if the club have another target.
Or they don't offer the money then Laporte has no right to complain. shouldn't have signed a new deal if he wanted to leave. Personally I don't think he'll kick up a fuss this summer at least.
If Barca want him but can't offer cash, we make them hurt with a player for player deal with someone we want, or they piss off.
Playing wise, he's our 3rd choice CB so it's not that disruptive. I actually think he's never been the same player since the knee injury, it cost him pace and he didn't have any to spare. Also Pep trying to keep him happy and rotate the squad really cost us our outstanding defensive record, because we lost the rock solid platform that we had when Dias and Stones played every game together.
Huge difference mate, Stones knew his career was done if he moved on from City and did not step up. Laporte however is a couple years younger and clubs like Atlético or Real, Barça still compete in CL on a regular basis plus compete for silverware. Stones didn't have that privilege, it was all downward if not City, Arsenal or Spurs would be better with him in the backline but as a player and with the team he would've just been another player and no more.Well he did, he could have moved to another tean and settled for that, would probably even have kept his England place moving to an Arsenal or a Spurs.Laporte has the same options except he can move to a Madrid or Barcelona, so slightly better options.
